School lunch season is back, and around here that means one thing: GOOD SANDWICHES. 🥪🤎

My kids aren’t exactly thrilled about school lunch, so I’ve been experimenting with a sourdough sandwich loaf that makes packing lunch a little more exciting.

This one is an Oatmeal Molasses Sourdough Sandwich Bread. Soft enough for sandwiches, hearty enough to hold up in a lunchbox, with a little sweetness from molasses and oats baked right into the crust.

Basically, the kind of bread that makes a turkey sandwich feel a little less like a school lunch. 😉.

Meet Sandía Sunset. ☀️

A little sweet. A little smoky. A little heat.

This one is especially close to my heart.

Sandía Sunset was born from the mountains I grew up seeing outside my window every day, and from the flavors I grew up eating around my table. Red chile, honey, warmth, a little sweetness, a little heat. Familiar flavors, brought into something completely new.

I made the red chile honey myself and spent a lot of time crafting this loaf until it felt just right.

It’s warm, unexpected, and very much its own thing.

Sandía Sunset is officially part of the Sol & Thyme lineup. 🌶️🍯 A little piece of Albuquerque, where the Sandías meet Route 66 and the flavors are unmistakably New Mexican.

One of the sweetest compliments I’ve been hearing lately is:

“You don’t skimp on the fillings.”

Truthfully… I don’t know how to.

If a loaf is called Jalapeño Cheddar, I want every slice to taste like jalapeño and cheddar. Not just the first few pieces.

I love making bread that’s full of the things people ordered it for.

Because every bite deserves to be the good bite. 🌶️🧀.

Out of all the sourdough flavors, The Original is still my favorite. 🍞

Unfussy. Quiet confidence. With a beautiful crust that goes with just about anything.
