Good morning everyone! I wanted to give an update on my foot/leg condition, and I was really hoping it would be more positive😭. I saw the orthopedic doctor on Friday and I was able to deliver the previous doctors notes and X-rays to him. He reviewed them and let me know that there was some mention of an issue with the ankle as well as the tibia and wanted to have an MRI to make sure there was no damage to the ankle as well. I'm scheduled for 10/7 for my MRI. I was hoping to get it done sooner but they need insurance authorization! A doctor appointment will scheduled after the 7th. Needless to say, I was EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED about another delay, but I also don't want to have another break or worse and risk losing the use of my foot or leg. I'll update if the date changes! Thank you all for your concern and sending good wishes!

Also, please remember my cookies in a jar being sold at The Sunshine Girls Boutique! They're packaged in Mason jars that can be used after the cookies are made. The jars have measurements so you'll have something useful after the cookies are gone!! If you loved our cookies you'll love the ones you bake at home! They are the exact recipe we used when we were selling at the market!

Just a reminder to all of you that are familiar with my cookies. I currently have my COOKIES IN A JAR for sale at The Sunshine Girls shop on Florence Street!

As Gary mentioned, I'm hoping to be out of the boot when I see the orthopedic doctor on Friday. I no longer have any pain in my foot or my ankle and leg. I've been using the walker to get around, so my legs get some exercise.

We'll keep everyone up to date!! Have a great week - it's getting much cooler, so enjoy💕💓🍪👩‍🍳

Thought I would drop by and give a quick update on Mary. Mary is still in her the boot on her left leg from her break 9 weeks ago. She has been seeing a podiatrist, but now will be switching to an orthopedic surgeon on Sept 25th. Age is of course a factor in the healing process. Mary is hoping that the break has healed itself and will not need surgery. I told her the next break I will be putting her into a facility...LOL. I know there is that clause in your marriage vows "for better or worse and in sickness and in health" but Mary is pushing the limits.🥰🥰🥰. This all started clear back in December when she broke 4 toes, then she went on to break 6 ribs, then 1 more rib, then her left leg. There never appears to be enough bubble wrap at Amazon to take care of her. She keeps telling me she will be back baking soon and I keep telling her bring on the French Fries. Ok update complete at this time. Gary aka caregiver of one clumsy Mary. 🤣🤣🤣 For those who need a cookie fix, drop by The Sunshine Girls Boutique & Gallery and grab a jar of Mary's Kookie Kits.

Happy Monday everyone! WOW, I can't believe we're going into the last week of the Promenade market, and we can't be there! We were so excited to be at the very first one last year and continued until Valentines weekend, when I fell and broke my rib😭. We've been back a few times after I healed until I fell again about 7 weeks ago when I broke my leg. I'm sad to not be at the last Promenade market! I loved going to the market and meeting so many vendors and customers, participating in the holiday events, all the fun at Halloween with Gary and I dressing as MILK & COOKIES!! So much fun!!

THANK YOU to Renee, Jen, Miguel and all the rest of the team that helped all of us cart in our bins that were heavy & bulky! We couldn't have done this without all of you!!

I hope everyone had a great 4th of July weekend and enjoyed it with friends and family! 🇺🇸🎉🧨🎇. We could hear the fireworks around the area but couldn't really see them due to the fact that the last fall I took 3 weeks ago was more than "pulled muscles" in my leg. I've been confined to the recliner and walker! I actually have a break in the tibia bone of my left leg about 4 inches above the ankle! At this point I don't know how long I'll be away from baking but will keep you all up to date once I see an orthopedic doctor. Since I was walking with the boot on not knowing the pain was from a break, the doctor will need to determine what needs to happen!

Please remember we have the "Cookies in a Jar" to purchase as well as you can place orders with us. We'll post what we have available as soon as we can!!

As always, we appreciate your loyalty and friendship🩷. You all are truly the best👩‍🍳🍪.
