Well, our second car gave us all it could this past week, and we’re officially rolling into our one-car-family era until we can save up enough for another one. 🚗

Every single purchase today went toward the Saintly car fund! ❤️

It’s not always glamorous running a small, family-owned business, especially with littles, a newborn, and one car to share. But we keep showing up, keep praying, and keep rolling (literally). 🙏🏼

To everyone who bought rolls today, thank you for being part of this journey. You’re helping us do more than bake cinnamon rolls. You’re helping our family build something we believe in, one batch at a time.

🧁Fun fact! Before cinnamon rolls, I baked cupcakes and cookies when I lived in Kentucky as a side hustle! Although, back then, they weren’t gluten-free!

But there’s a little more to the story. ❤️

While living in KY, I spent years going through medical tests trying to figure out why my body seemed to react to so many different foods. Allergists, colonoscopies, endoscopies… you name it, I went through it.

People often ask if I’m celiac, and the answer is no. My doctors never gave it one specific label. Instead, I was left tracking what I ate and how my body responded.

Too much dairy? Migraines.
Bread? Bloating and horrible belly aches.
Red tomato sauce? Acid reflux and intestines on fire!

The conclusion? Gut inflammation and lots of food sensitivities.

Looking back, that seven-year journey was about more than trying to figure out what I could eat without feeling miserable. It helped shape the vision for what Saintly is today.

I wanted to create something different for my community. A treat made with quality ingredients, without gluten, that people could look forward to enjoying. Something that didn’t feel like a compromise.

And somehow, that journey led me from baking cupcakes in Kentucky to making gluten-free cinnamon rolls right here in Cary, Illinois. 🥹❤️

Sometimes the things we struggle with become the very things that help us serve others.

That’s a little piece of the story behind Saintly.🙏🏻🤍

📣📣 UPDATE, SAINTLY’S! 📣📣

Unfortunately, OAK KNOLL FEST scheduled for 10/16 has been CANCELLED 😔 due to weather. 🌧️⚡

We were looking forward to bringing warm cinnamon rolls to the families, especially the kids, but Mother Nature had other plans! 🌧️⚡

The good news? We are making the most of it! 💪❤️

CARY REALLY DOES HAVE OUR BACK. ❤️🙏

Can we talk about what it's like running a small business in the town you live in?

I walk into Sam's Club and see my friend working her shift. Ethan walks into Sport Clips or the community center and it's, “Hey! You're Saintly's husband!” 😂

We go to the chiropractor and it's, “Hey, bakers! How are you two holding up? Backs hurting? Let's fix that so you can get back to baking!” LOL. 🤣

I swear, we can't go anywhere anymore without Saintly somehow coming up in conversation.

And honestly? It makes me smile every single time.

Because somewhere between the hundreds of cinnamon rolls, the late nights in the kitchen, the corn starch everywhere, and trying to keep up with this business while raising our family, something really special has happened.

Our community has gotten to know US. Not just our cinnamon rolls.

We're not a storefront with a big sign out front. We're a family baking from our home kitchen, trying to build something meaningful while living our everyday lives right here in Cary.

And now we're being recognized at the grocery store, the nail salon, the community center, the barber shop, the coffee shop, at the park, on a walk, the chiropractor's office, and all around town. ❤️

People are checking in on us. Cheering us on. Asking how the baking is going. And apparently making sure our backs are in working order so we can keep those cinnamon rolls coming. 💀🤣

THAT is what supporting local looks like.

It's personal. It's familiar. It's your neighbors becoming your customers, your customers becoming familiar faces, and your small business becoming part of the community you call home.

And this Friday, I get to bring Saintly to Oak Knoll Fall Fest. That's another reminder of how special it is to build something right here, where our family lives and grows.

So to everyone who has ordered from us, recommended us, recognized us out in the wild, or stopped to ask how we're holding up…

THANK YOU for making Saintly feel like a part of this town. ❤️🙏

And to our chiropractor… we'll probably see you again soon. These cinnamon rolls aren't going to bake themselves. 😂🤎
