I hate to do this, but due to unforeseen circumstances, I need to withdraw from being the facilitator of a monthly book club.

Book recommended by member of online Women's Book Club:

Annie Freeman's Fabulous Traveling Funeral.
Have any of you read it? What are your thoughts?
Shall we have this as our March book?

January 16, 2025: The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society

February 20, 2025: The Jane Austen Book Club

Feedback encouraged!

Good Morning!
For those of you who prefer listening to a novel, Audible is a paid site where The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society and The Jane Austen Book Club are available.
Audible was advertising a 99 cent for three-month membership.
Things to consider.

And sometimes non-fiction is altered unfortunately

I received a question that I am unable to answer directly on Messenger. Hopefully, you will find your answer here.

The genre for the first two months is adult historical fiction. As we move forward and get more input about what we will be reading, the genre might change.
I personally, am not comfortable reading bodice busters as a group project, nor do I enjoy blood and guts 'True Stories.' However, I am one voice only.
I don't care to ever read another John Irving book, nor am I able to read Jodi Picoult without wanting to throw myself off a bridge. But I am not the queen of the book club, just the facilitator.

Participants will write out the titles of books they think would be good for the group. I will toss the pieces of paper and pull one out at a time to determine what direction the next six months will go.
I read across many age and reading levels. I'd be happy reading Winnie the Pooh by AA Milne and/or The Merry Wives of Windsor by Shakespeare.
There may be adults who would like to read and discuss a book assigned in their students' classes.
We will know more after January 16 which direction this book club will go in. All things subject to modification as we go along.
