Once Upon A Cookie Home-based bakery, specializing in Springerle and custom printed sugar cookies for celebratory events Springerle, the cookie that is too pretty to eat.

A German cookie, with a long history dating back to the 14th century. Springerle molds were originally hand carved in wood and given as gifts. They were a treasured heirloom item that was handed down from generation to generation. My molds are made from food safe, resin materials which are replicas of original carvings. The cookies are hand molded. The process from start to finish takes 3-4 days t

o complete. They have a crisp outer shell with a cake-like center, not an overly sweet cookie. The pictures of my Springerles only represent a small portion of my available molds. Please contact me if you something in mind. This is a cottage, home-bakery business operated out of my home. The cookies are not made out of a commercial kitchen.
