❄️ Mason Avenue Bakery will be OPEN on Sunday, January 25 ❄️

Steve has been practicing his skiing skills and assures us he will make it into the bakery right on time. Snow sleet or rain we will see you as long as we can fire up the ovens.

Sunday sourdough flavor is jalapeno cheddar, plus our classic sourdough along with all your favorite Mason Avenue Bakery goodies available too.

A dear friend shared this fun little poem about our sourdough, and it made us smile. We hope it brings one to you too:

If you are wondering… yes, we turned on the ovens.

After our winter break, Mason Avenue Bakery is back open this Friday, January 23, and this weekend is all about sharing. Freshly baked favorites, a few Valentine treats we will be sampling, and plenty of reasons to stop in and linger a bit.

We are also featuring Skippy Jackson’s Franktown Clam Chowder, a lighter, comforting take on a classic with clams, tomatoes, potatoes, and plenty of flavor. Unexpected, nourishing, and perfect for a winter day.

After a cozy winter break filled with family time, Eastern Shore sunsets, and a little wine country exploring, we are back and the ovens are fired up.

Preparations are underway and the aromas are already drifting through Strawberry Street Plaza and beyond.
Mason Avenue Bakery reopens Friday, January 23, just in time to stock up for potential snowy days ahead.

Two cheerful winter perks:

Mason, our mischievous elf, has some news for you! It is time to stock up on your Mason Avenue Bakery favorites before we take a little winter break. We will be closed from December 24th through January 22, but do not worry—Mason says our treats freeze perfectly and warm up like magic! Stop by this Sunday and Monday from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM to fill up with joy. We will offer extra hours on Tuesday, December 23 from 8:30 to 1:30 for holiday pre-order pick-ups and few of your last-minute holiday needs.

Starting Friday, December 19, Mason Avenue Bakery is serving a hearty winter favorite: Skippy Jackson’s North Pole Style Brunswick Stew. This comforting stew is loaded with chicken, tender red potatoes, celery, onions, tomatoes, lima beans, corn, peas, string beans, and carrots, all simmered slowly in a flavorful chicken broth and finished with parsley, salt, and pepper. Enjoy a warm bowl served with a fresh baguette slice, or take a quart home for an easy, cozy meal. It pairs beautifully with our sourdough or baguette for a simple winter supper. Available while supplies last.

Hours: Friday through Monday 8:30 to 2:30 and Festive Fridays from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.

From 5:30 to 7:30, enjoy live music by special guest Brian Carmona, a Brooklyn born guitarist and songwriter blending blues rock with Latin, R and B, and funk.

We will be serving our Festive Friday favorites all evening: hot Brunswick stew with a fresh baguette slice, homemade holiday cookies, creamy hot chocolate, and our festive jingle juice. Fresh from the oven this week is our golden tomato and Zaatar focaccia. We would love for you to join us at the bakery as we celebrate the season together.
