This conversation brings together five Asian Americans who walked away from culturally sanctioned careers like medicine, engineering, law, and corporate business to chase art, writing, and creative entrepreneurship—despite family pressure, financial fear, and plenty of setbacks.

Expect sharp humor, raw honesty, and real talk about ambition, rebellion, and what it costs to build a life that doesn’t fit the model minority mold.

🥮 Mooncakes are officially HERE! 🥮

Growing up, Mid-Autumn Festival was never complete without a classic lotus paste mooncake with double yolk on the table. It’s the flavor of nostalgia for us, which is why we’re using lotus paste as the base for some of our mooncakes this year!

We are so excited to drop 3 brand-new flavors for this season’s lineup:

☕ Coffee Milk Tea (Yuenyeung): Inspired by the iconic Cantonese café drink! A rich blend of coffee and creamy milk tea
Contains: Wheat

🏮 Roasted Lychee: Wrapped in a traditional Cantonese-style crust, this one features roasted lychee for an elevated fruity bite
Contains: Wheat

🌿 Pandan 1000-Layer: Crisp, flaky layers filled with toasted pandan-coconut filling
Contains: Wheat and Coconut

All items are vegan! (We use milk tea extract that is dairy free!)

I cannot believe it's August! This means our favorite season is right around the corner anddd so's the Mid Autumn Festival!! 🥮 We loved making a trio of different mooncakes for y'all last year and will do something similar (with different flavors) this year. Stay tuned!

💥 Moving forward, we're gonna be scaling back outside of major holidays (Mid-Autumn Festival, winter holidays and Lunar New Year). I'm in a season of life that requires my attention to be elsewhere and I'm not able to keep up with FLB like I did last year! I'm not sure exactly what this will mean for all the non-holiday baking I do but I'll keep y'all updated! Thank you so much for your understanding and support. FLB would not be here without you and it's been an honor to share my culture bite-by-bite 💖

Snaps of all the treats I made yesterday! It's been a while since I baked for fun and it was a blast experimenting with the bolo cookie and 5-spice brownie!
