Can we give a big thank you and round of applause to the Canterbury Shaker Village for putting on an incredible community event this weekend?? The weather was stunning and over 900 people showed up! I got to spend my evening in the beautiful North Shop and everyone helping out with the event was so welcoming and helpful🥰

You all also never stop amazing me🤩 We sold out, ran home and restocked with a freezer sale, and almost sold out again. Thank you is not enough💜

Once again, today is the Canterbury Community Farmers Market. There are ONLY 5 MORE markets this season to enjoy some live music, have a chat with a neighbor, and select from a variety of local products. 4-6.30p across the the Elkins Public Library📚

If you like seedy bread, today's special is for you. There's a hint of autumn creeping in and this bread goes great with soup🍛

Check out our surprise visitor at the market last week🪶👀 This guy was enjoying the beautiful weather and music as much as the rest of us!

We are having another freezer sale! And this time with cookies! There are only a few packs, so get to the Canterbury Community Farmers Market early or have me put some aside for you🍪 Don't worry there will be fresh bread as well😊

Who else is growing pumpkins? 🎃 Not bread related, but a woman needs hobbies outside of this baking business😄 This is my first year and I don't know if I've ever enjoyed watching anything grow so much!

Some extra exciting news! I will be a vendor at the Canterbury Shaker Village on Saturday August 29th 12-4p for the grand reopening of the Bee House! There will be tours, demonstrations, and so much more🐝🍯 Come enjoy a lovely Staurday afternoon in Canterbury!

Have you ever noticed a little hole in the side of your bread and wondered whats that?🤔

For every round of baking, I spot check the temperature of a loaf of bread on each of my three baking decks. You want the internal temperature of a classic loaf of sourdough to be 207°f or about 210°f if it has a lot of inclusions in it.

Get a loaf today between 4-6.30p at the Canterbury Community Farmers Market and see if you end up with one of my temp check loaves🌡

The best way to celebrate National Farmers Market Week is to head on over to the Canterbury Community Farmers Market from 4-6.30p today!

The special this week is Italian Herb Sourdough Bread which is a perfect base for a farmers market haul. Pile it high with all of the best produce our farmers have to offer! A simple open faced sandwich with tomatoes, olive oil, and some pepper is a great summer option🤤

We are doing things a little differently today. The Canterbury Community Farmers Market will be moved into the Town Hall due to the anticipated rain. You'll still find all of your favorite vendors and you can park as you normally do for the market!

As for bread, today I will be having a freezer sale! This popular event happens only once or twice a year and you can try a new flavor or some sourdough rolls on discount. All sale breads are previously frozen extras from the past month❄️ There will be a few fresh loaves available too!
