Cakes By Katie is an independent baker in Dover, DE, specializing in custom cakes and other desserts, crafted in her home kitchen. Katie Stockslager first learned the art of making cakes at Half Baked Patisserie in Middletown, DE, where she became Head Cake Artist before the pandemic. As time passed, she felt the itch for a creative outlet apart from her 9-5 corporate job. Then, Cakes By Katie was born in 2025: a sweet return to her passion.

She must hold on, and she must let go.” 🌹

In the age of AI, real art still exists. 💅

I rolled out some fondant, delicately tore the edges, and painted this with just alcohol and food dye. My fave place in Delaware. ❤️

CBK goes PINK with Bayhealth! 💅💞✨

So honored to be a Silver Sponsor for the Bayhealth Cancer Institute’s Go Pink campaign this month! 🩷

Tomorrow, Saturday 10/10, Bayhealth Women’s Imaging Center in Dover is hosting a free cancer screening event - and you can schedule a mammogram right there.

And if you stop by, you get a little treat from me! They even have teeny pink ribbon sprinkles. 🥹

Check out https://www.bayhealth.org/go-pink/events for details!

You don’t need a design idea to order a cake from me. In fact, you can leave that all to me. 💅

All of my cake flavors come with their own unique design. The only hard part is choosing a favorite flavor.

Behold:
🎂 Death By Chocolate
🎂 Chocolate Peanut Butter

Apple C***r, Affogato, and more are all available for fall! Message me for my full flavor menu. ❤️

Me, a year ago:
“Vintage cakes are in now?? That’s like turning your grandma’s curtains into a cake. Who wants that…”

Me now:
“Look at the elegance. The SWAGS. The class. She’s gorgeous.✨✨✨”

A new era is coming: CBK is moving to Milford!📍🎂✨

In late November, Milford, Delaware will officially be Cakes By Katie’s new studio location. A transition I am SO excited about.

So! A couple of quick notes:
- Order pickups will be paused from November 10th through November 24th. I’ll still be responding to messages as normal.
- Pickups will resume on November 25th for Thanksgiving!

And with a big move comes even bigger things - a real website, a new way to place orders, and more.

I’ve said this before, but I’m only ONE person (and a chronic perfectionist), so things take time. 🥰 But I have big plans and big determination.

2027, I’m coming for you full speed ❤️

Thank you all for your support again and again!!!

And thank you, Photography by Deanna Michele for being the best photographer. 📸🥰
