All the stars are lining up for a beautiful, wonderful, bread filled market on Saturday!
I'm working on two experimental new breads for you - one is made with Emmer. Emmer is an ancient variety of wheat, one of the first crops ever domesticated in the near east (think Egypt and Greece). It has a rich, nutty flavor and is bursting with nutrition. My Emmer sourdough is made with 20% emmer that was grown and milled right here in South Carolina. This will be available in half loaves and I'll have sample bites for you to try.
The second is a sourdough made with figs from a friend's garden (Thank you, Jill!), goat cheese, and walnuts. I'll have samples of this one for you also. Yummy!
