Have you stopped to read the ingredients of your store bought bread? This is a loaf of sourdough I found at Walmart. Now at first glance this looks pretty good: a non-gmo, slow-baked sourdough bread for $5. BUT check out the 20+ ingredients on the back. Added synthetic vitamins and preserves to name a few. Also, this is only a half a loaf of bread, 1 pound.
My bread?
3 ingredients: flour, water + salt. That's it. Nothing you can't pronounce. It's also organic and the best part? It's only $10 for a 2 pound loaf. Not to mention it's baked fresh and hasn't been sitting on a shelf for who knows how long...
So...which option would you choose?
To me it's a no brainer...fresh baked bread for the same price as store bought? YES, PLEASE!
