Yesterday I had the pleasure of making some spooky themed goodies for one of my oldest friends. Katy Danielle , the owner of Appalachian Oddities, hosted the Grim and Ghouls Costume Ball yesterday evening and requested a cake for their cakewalk. I made this Beetlejuice inspired white chocolate ganache covered chocolate cake with strawberry filling and chocolate cupcakes in matching icing colors and festive spooky sprinkles.
I’m so proud of Katy for chasing her dreams and providing the community with some much needed “odd” space!! Love you girl! 🧙‍♀️💚💜🖤

As the new school year approaches, I’ll be joining the league of academia at Pierpont Community and Technical College’s school of Veterinary Technology as their newest lab instructor. As I transition into my new role, I’ll be taking a step back from baking, and won’t be able to take on many orders. While I’ve enjoyed this venture and I’ve been grateful for everyone who’s ordered, this is a great opportunity to pass my veterinary knowledge down to the newest generation of vet techs and I’m really looking forward to this new challenge! ❤️🐾

A big birthday batch of cookies- one set with Bubble Guppies, and the other set with Little Blue Truck, with matching individual vanilla cakes with whipped buttercream. I loved both of these franchises when Samuel was younger!

My own little boy’s birthday cake!! He always requests fruit flavored cakes, so far we’ve had strawberry and peach- this year he requested blueberry with blue and white icing. There were fresh lemon and blueberries in the batter, blueberry filling, and blueberry in the frosting!

So grateful for the blessing of being mama💙🫐
