Meet Chef Alex G. Among his many, many accomplishments, he has produced the Emmy-winning television series Martha Stewart Living and won the James Beard Award for Lidia Bastianich’s PBS series, Lidia’s Italy. He's also an incredibly down-to-Earth friend who just loves sharing his knowledge of French cooking 🇲🇫

I had the absolute pleasure of getting to cook in his at-home kitchen this past weekend as part of a class he offers in St. Augustine. I highly recommend that if you're ever in St. Augustine, to take his classes - you'll learn more than you thought possible. Finding him is easy - he's onTripAdvisor, Viator, and Airbnb Experiences. Since the 340 detour went into effect, we have noticed a measurable and significant drop in business. While we remain a custom order business, many commuter routes have changed in the Maryland, West Virginia, and Virginia areas. Many clients have already expressed they wish to avoid 340 altogether and so "don't make the drive" to Brunswick. I also understand that the construction at the bridge here in Brunswick a few weeks back also added to many people working hard to avoid Brunswick altogether and elected to place their orders elsewhere so not to endure hours of brutal traffic.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't forget you can get to Brunswick from routes 287 through Lovettsville (VA) or from 340 West coming from Frederick (MD). The Brunswicm exit is well before the 340 detour.

Like all small businesses being NEGATIVELY AND SIGNIFICANTLY impacted by customers attempting to avoid this *cluster* of a traffic issue impacting three states ......We need your support.

Support Local. We are a small business that critically depends on continued community support. These detours kill our business and those like ours who are dependent on customers being able to access us conveniently at all times of day.

I have reinstated online ordering for other non-cake items like scones, cookies etc and will be adding more of our "fan favorites items" this week. I will also be expanding our pickup times later into the evening to accommodate travel times for customers who wish to support us with orders during the week.

I also realize the economy still is not ideal and so some budgets do not allow for purchases from "a fancy bakery." Still, you can help us for free! Please like and share this post and tag some friends to help us beat the algorithms and bring more awareness to this issue, which isn't isolated to just us. This is an issue impacting MANY MANY small business, and we all appreciate your help in any way you can.

In Germany, it's tradition for children to receive a "Zuckertüte" before entering into 1st grade. These are traditionally paper cones festively decorated and filled with treats, sweets, and toys. The challenge from our client was to make one for her daughter, but make one out of cake. Hope you have a great year of school, Adaline! ❤️
