I've been sitting on this post for a while because I haven't quite known how to put it into words.
For the last six years, Frosted by Frenchy has been so much more than decorated cookies.
It found me during a season when I needed a creative outlet. I needed purpose. I needed something that was mine. What started as getting the recipe perfect and hours of learning, became friendships, confidence, late nights, tears, and the privilege of celebrating so many of your biggest milestones.
But life has changed.
I've changed.
Over the past several years I've taken some big leaps. I left the security of working for someone else to build my own business. I've discovered new ways to create through marketing, branding, websites, print, design, and storytelling. Creativity didn't leave. It just found more places to live.
Then I lost my dad.
His passing made me ask some hard questions about how I wanted to spend the life I still have. I realized I had become someone who lived to work instead of working to create a life I truly loved and lived.
So, lately I've been in this strange in-between space.
Not because I don't love cookies. I will always love cookies. But because I'm learning that creativity doesn't have to fit into one box. It can evolve. And maybe we're allowed to evolve with it.
I don't know exactly what the next ever looks like yet.
Maybe there will be fewer custom orders. Maybe more corporate projects. Maybe cookie classes. Maybe something I haven't even imagined yet. God knows, I didn't see all of this coming.
What I do know is this...
Every cookie I've ever made led me to where I am today.
If you've ever ordered from me, shared a post, trusted me with your celebration, or simply cheered me on along the way., thank you. You'll probably never know just how much your support changed my life.
Here's to creating a life that's as meaningful as it is beautiful. Even if it looks completely different than we ever imagined. ❤️
