Looking for something FUN to do with your family this weekend?! One of our absolute FAVORITE places is opening its gates to the public for a rare opportunity to explore their beautiful farm, meet the animals, pack a picnic, and soak up all the fall goodness! And tickets are just $10! 🤎😱

But FIRST… meet just one pair of their 70 animals— Dunkin’ & Waffles. 🐐🐐

Yes, they’re real goats. Yes, they have their very own candle. And yes, they’re apparently checking to make sure we got their scent just right. 😂

One of our absolute favorite things we get to do at Charley Jean Candle Co. is create custom scents for other businesses, and one of our longest-standing and dearest clients is Okie Grown Farms in Bixby, Oklahoma! Okie Grown Farms

Over the years, we’ve had SO much fun creating an entire collection of farm-inspired scents just for them. From candles named after their actual animals (like Dunkin’ & Waffles!) to scents inspired by life on the farm, each one has its own little story. 🌾

And THIS WEEKEND, you actually get to experience the farm behind the candles!!

🍁 OKIE GROWN FARMS IS OPENING TO THE PUBLIC! 🍁

Normally, their beautiful farm properties are enjoyed by overnight guests, but for one special weekend, they’re opening them up for families to come explore!

We’re talking THREE beautiful farm properties, over 170 acres, and more than 70 animals!

Bring the kids, pack a picnic lunch, enjoy the beautiful fall weather, wander the farm, meet the animals, explore the outdoors, and make a whole day of it!

📍 Bixby, OK — just minutes from Carmichael’s Pumpkin Patch!

🗓️ Saturday & Sunday, October 17–18

⏰ 10 AM – 4 PM

🎟️ Just $10 per person! (MUST buy tickets ahead of time using the link because they are limited.)

👶 Ages 2 & under are FREE!

And of course, they’ll have their entire Okie Grown Farms collection set up in a little farm gift shop, so you can smell and shop all the scents we’ve created together over the years! 🕯️

We love these people, we love their farm, and we are SO excited to see them open up this beautiful little piece of Oklahoma for everyone to enjoy.

And just like that… another Tulsa State Fair is in the books. 🥹🤎

11 days. Thousands of conversations. More candles smelled than we could ever count. Lots of tired feet, late nights, early mornings, and memories we’ll hold onto for a long time.

Every year, I leave this fair feeling a little bit of everything. Exhausted, grateful, emotional, and honestly just amazed that this little candle business we started 6 years ago has become what it is today.

Because behind every candle, every display, every restock, and every long day at the booth is our family. Our team in the warehouse. And a whole lot of people who believe in the natural home products we’re hand making.

And then there are YOU. The ones who come find us every single year. The ones who bring their friends back to shop their favorite scents. The ones who tell us our candles remind them of their childhood, their grandma’s house, or a memory they hadn’t thought about in years.

That right there is why we do what we do.

We’re not just making candles. We’re getting to be a tiny part of the homes and memories of so many families. And that is something I’ll never take for granted.

From our family to yours, thank you for another incredible Tulsa State Fair. Thank you for shopping small, loving on our family, and making these 11 days so special.

That’s 9,000 little pieces of our family business becoming part of your homes, your traditions, and hopefully some really sweet memories. I don’t think I’ll ever get over that. 🤎 BRB, I have to go recover now. My voice is gone and I’m overdue on a lot of sweet moments with my kiddos.
