Caribbean Heritage Month – Day 4
Today’s dessert is Guyanese Pine Tarts, a flaky pastry filled with sweet pineapple jam and folded into their signature triangular shape. Simple in appearance but packed with flavor, these treats have been a staple in Guyanese homes and bakeries for generations.
One of the things I love about Caribbean desserts is how they transform everyday ingredients into something memorable. With their buttery crust and sweet pineapple filling, Pine Tarts are a perfect example of the comfort and creativity found throughout Caribbean baking.
Join me as I continue celebrating Caribbean Heritage Month and sharing the desserts that make our region so special.
