Bremerton Firefighters

10/01/2026

From your first day on the job to 30+ years of service, every firefighter has a story.

One of the best things about the fire service is the generations of experience working side by side. Rookies learning from veterans, and veterans passing their knowledge on to the next generation.

We wanted to showcase some of our members through the years and celebrate the people who make this job what it is.

John (Dick) Taylor generously donated his 2002 Firefighters Edition Harley Davidson motorcycle to the Kitsap Firefighters Benevolent Fund.

The Benevolent fund will raffle the motorcycle on a date to be announced. All proceeds helping our county wide fund to assist firefighters, their families, and community members in times of need.

Local 437 and the Kitsap Benevolent fund are grateful for your donation. Thank you.

SUPPORT FIREFIGHTER RYAN JONES’ RECOVERY

For more than 20 years, North Mason Regional Fire Authority Firefighter Ryan Jones has dedicated himself to serving his community and helping others in their greatest times of need.

Recently, Ryan suffered a serious fall while working in the line of duty, resulting in significant injuries. Ryan has undergone an extensive surgery and is now beginning what will be a long road to recovery.

The months ahead will include continued medical care, rehabilitation, and significant time away from work as Ryan focuses on healing.

After more than two decades of answering the call for others, it’s our turn to answer the call for Ryan.

All funds raised will go directly to Ryan to help with medical expenses, everyday living expenses, and the costs associated with his ongoing recovery.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

DONATE — Every contribution makes a difference. https://gofund.me/71663262e
SHARE — Help us spread the word throughout our community.
SUPPORT — Keep Ryan in your thoughts and prayers throughout his recovery.

Thank you for rallying around one of our own and supporting Ryan during the road ahead.

Labor Day isn’t just a three day weekend, a sale, or a BBQ.

It’s about the struggle of working people fighting for a seat at the table, fair wages, fair hours, safe working conditions, and a voice in the workplace.

If you want change, organize. Join a union or form one.

When workers stand together, workers have the power!!
