🔥 Back on the line!

After just a two-day turnaround from our crews returning home, Bremerton Fire is sending FF Slusser and FF/PM Wickstrom to assist with the Little Giant Fire near Chelan.

A quick return to the wildland front is a testament to the dedication and commitment of our firefighters to support communities across Washington when help is needed.

Welcome home after two weeks of being away in Spokane fighting the wildland fires!

Welcome Home, Carlo & Andy

Please join us in welcoming home Firefighters Carlo Celeste and Andy McCay, who returned this afternoon after spending the past two weeks fighting the Spokane Fires and helping our neighbors to the east.

We are grateful to have them safely home and incredibly proud of the way they represented the Bremerton Fire Department while serving alongside firefighters from across the region.

Thank you, Carlo and Andy, for answering the call, putting in the work, and representing BFD so well. Welcome home!

🔥 DEPLOYMENT UPDATE
🤗 We are pleased to welcome home our crew after a two-week deployment assisting on the Pearl Hill Fire and Sinlahekin Fire in Eastern Washington.

Please join us in thanking:
• Strike Team Leader Trainee Captain Elliott Bresnan
• Firefighter Zach Smith
• Apparatus Operator Jamie Monroe
• Apparatus Operator Joey Werlech
Thank you for your service and commitment to helping communities affected by wildfire.

🚒 Their apparatus, Brush 56, is already headed back out with a new crew consisting of:
• Captain Gian Dalle
• Firefighter Devion Hagen
• Firefighter Taylor Smith

This crew has been assigned to the Old Trails Fire near Spokane. The fire is currently estimated at 3,561 acres and is 23% contained.

Unfortunately, weather conditions are expected to challenge suppression efforts, with forecasts calling for high temperatures and gusty winds.

💛 As always, we wish our firefighters a safe deployment and look forward to welcoming them home.

Today is the final day to vote on Proposition 1.

Over the past several weeks, we’ve done our best to educate and inform our community about what this proposition would do: add more firefighters to our fire engines, create a sustainable funding source to replace fire apparatus, and update Station 1 to meet today’s needs.

We’ve knocked on doors, handed out flyers, answered questions online, and had countless conversations throughout our community.
