Phew, what a WEEK! 😮‍💨

My sourdough starter had a week off, but she’s back at it and baking away! This week, I had chocolate chip cookies, sandwich bread, sourdough boules, English muffins, and pumpkin bagels all go out the door! 🥯🍞🍪

Thank you all for keeping me busy and supporting my little bakery. 🤍

Now it’s time to relax and enjoy the weekend!

What’s the first thing I make when I get home? A fresh boule of sourdough, of course! 🍞

Paired perfectly with homemade Hamburger Helper for supper tonight 🥰

Now I’m just counting down the hours until morning so I can have a piece of sourdough toast slathered with strawberry jam. 🤣🍓

Back home, back to baking, and back to the simple things that make me happy. 🤍

My starter is officially getting a little vacation of its own because I’m going on a work trip for my travel business! 🤗🚢

I’ll be gone tomorrow (Saturday October 3rd) through October 11th, so The Flour Potts Bakery will be taking a little break while I’m off learning, networking, and soaking up some sunshine. 🏝️

I’m planning to start taking orders again around October 12th!

Until then, my starter will be happily resting in the fridge! 🤍

With baseball getting canceled, I thought I’d have a chance to get some baking done, I’m really missing experiment Sundays… but instead, I spent the day doing some much-needed canning!

I love having all this homemade goodness stocked up, but whew… I think I’ve canned enough to last us a while! 😂

🌱 WHO NEEDS SOME GREEN PEPPERS?! 🌱

I have 38 green peppers — big ones, little ones, and everything in between — that need to find a home where they’ll actually get eaten! 😂

I’m the only one in my house who eats them, and I’ve already saved some for myself, so there’s no way I can use all of these before they go to waste.

I’d much rather send them home with someone who will love them, cook with them, freeze them, stuff them, or snack on them!

Sourdough is already an AMAZING addition to cookies—it adds that delicious depth of flavor and a little something extra. But brown butter?! That takes them to a whole new level. 😍

That rich flavor from the browned butter is something you just can’t get from regular butter. Add sourdough into the mix and you’ve got a cookie that is next-level GOOD. 🤤

Trust me… brown the butter. You won’t regret it!

Not sourdough related but … homemade chili for supper on this cool, rainy evening was absolutely perfect! 😋

If only I had planned ahead, I would’ve had a fresh boule of sourdough to go with it. But either way, I’m not complaining. There’s just something about a warm bowl of chili and cozy weather that makes my heart happy. 🍂⛈️
