I am not a business & do not have a certified kitchen, but I love doing cakes for friends & family!!! ***I am not taking orders right now*** From birthday cakes to wedding cakes, from fondant to buttercream, from a little cupcake to a 4 tiered cake... I do it all!

When you realize that you haven’t shared any of the cakes you’ve done in the past 6+ months 🤦‍♀️
Birthday cake, surprise inside cupcakes, plus sheet cakes. Sheet cakes might age me, lots of people now do cupcakes or little cakes as fillers... but these sheet cakes taste amazing: mocha cake with caramel filling and caramel buttercream, lemon cake with raspberry filling and lemon buttercream, strawberry cake with chocolate filling and chocolate ganache. Real fruit, real butter, from scratch cakes & frosting, that’s what makes the difference ❤️

Bake Sale.... going on right now until 2 @ Park UB (the small church on the corner at Washington Park). Proceeds go to Karing for Kids (the people who provide presents for children whose parents are incarcerated & low income families). Come out: support a good cause AND get yummy desserts for a family dinner (all kinds of desserts there, not just these cakes I donated).

Bake Sale on Saturday! 10-2 @ Park UB!
Carissa's Cakes is donating a carrot & cream cheese frosting cake, a red velvet & cream cheese frosting cake, a pumpkin chocolate with light chocolate buttercream frosting cake, & a white cake- cookies & cream filled-buttercream frosted cake! YUM!! If there is time, I might throw in some cupcakes... I've been dying to try these adorable succulent cupcakes I see all over pinterest! Glad to have finally done this one!

Have a family Thanksgiving this weekend? Go to Park UB (617 S. Bennett St.) on Saturday Nov 17 from 10am-2pm & pick up a home baked dessert! This is for a good cause- proceeds go to Karing for Kids. Carissa’s Cakes is back in business for this event... so there will be some cute cakes there! Years of pinning to Pinterest & not baking... get ready!
I may even consider a custom 6"-8" round cake if you get ahold of me by Wednesday, you pick it up at the bake sale, & you give your money to this amazing cause giving kids presents at Christmas!

Another child’s birthday is rolling in. It’s always fun to get back into cakes, even for just a day. This is my daughter’s 5th birthday cake, perfect for her creative personality, and a girl who loves animals... and LOVES candy! Wait until we cut into it... it’s pretty bright inside 😉
