Thrifting is one of my favorite things ever!!! I came by it honestly! My grandmother “Sasa” used to drag me to yard sales, thrift stores, goodwill, and had me help her resale her finds many times. At the time I didn’t really like it at all and kinda ashamed that some of my clothes came from these places. I embrace it these days!!! I absolutely love finding treasures (as she always called her favorite things) and deals (she never shopped at retail stores as long as I knew her) I’m convinced that when I want/need 🤪 something bad enough if I just wait patiently it will turn up at the goodwill or thrift store! Sometimes I find it faster than others but I almost always find what I’m looking for or it finds me even if I’m not looking for it!

It’s kinda like having faith in God!🤲 All we have to do is pray and ask our Father for what it is we are in need of, going through, anything in this life! He will answer in His time and His way even if it’s not the answer or timing we want. Just remember He isn’t a genie in a bottle!Sometimes we may not see the answer until we go home the Heaven. God is good and he wrote our story before we were even born! He has a great plan and purpose for all of His children!🙌💕

💙 PLEASE READ… especially if you or someone you love has struggled with addiction.

There is something I wish more people understood.

Addiction is not simply a matter of someone “not wanting it badly enough” or “just making better choices.” Substance Use Disorder is recognized as a medical condition that affects the brain, and recovery is often a long, difficult journey that requires treatment, support, accountability, and hope.

As someone who has lived it, I can tell you this:

The person you love is still in there.

I know because I was.

There were seasons when shame spoke louder than hope. When I believed the lies that I was too broken, too far gone, and beyond redemption.

But God never gave up on me.

Recovery isn’t just about putting down a substance. It’s about rebuilding a life one day at a time. Healing relationships. Learning healthy ways to cope. Choosing honesty over hiding. Trusting God when everything inside you wants to run.

Many people who struggle with addiction also carry deep wounds, trauma, or a family history that increases their risk. Every story is different, but one thing is always true:

No child grows up dreaming of becoming addicted.

Please…

💙 Choose compassion over judgment.

💙 Choose understanding over labels.

💙 Encourage treatment instead of shame.

💙 Speak hope instead of condemnation.

And please, let’s stop calling people “junkies.”

They are someone’s son.

Someone’s daughter.

Someone’s husband or wife.

Someone’s parent.

Someone deeply loved by God.

And if there is breath in their lungs, there is still hope.

I know because Jesus met me in my darkest place, and today, by His grace, I’m still standing.

If my story helps even one person choose hope instead of giving up, then sharing it is worth it.
