It’s so much easier to buy your favorite foods than make them yourself.

I agree, it is definitely easier. BUT are they always exactly what you want? Do you love all the flavors or do you wish it had more of this and less of that?

For this granola recipe, I looked on the ingredient list of my favorite store bought granola. I knew I loved the cinnamon flavor but wish it was a little less sweet and had a more toasted oat taste. So I swapped a few things and 30 minutes later (including prep time) I had a batch of granola.

Best part… I can eat close to double the portion of my homemade granola compared to the store bought and consume the same amount of carbs and fat! 🎉 💃

I dare you to recreate your favorite store bought snack and see how much more you love it!!!!

My Journey Part 2:
I am a girl who loves a plan. I was always in search of that food plan that would help me know what and how to eat to meet my goals. After many years of trying different fad diets, I was always feeling like I was still in that confused stage. I never felt like I truly knew what to eat (and how much) to feel best in MY body. It was always a guessing game that ultimately ended by eating in a very restrictive manner.

After scrolling IG one day, I came upon a woman who was a busy mom like me but gave off this confidence that I had been yearning for. She spoke about a program called FASTer Way to Fat Loss®] After msg’ing back and forth with her for weeks, I decided I needed to give it a try. I was definitely skeptical because on paper it seemed time consuming. After a week, I was sold! I was eating more than I had in years, had less of that 2pm slump and felt free! I loved tracking my food because it gave me this freedom to eat so much more than I ever thought possible. (And it was actually easy… not a nuisance!) I began following a purposeful workout plan that had me in and out in about 30 minutes. And I was told I must have rest days! Best of all, I could still enjoy dessert daily! I could really eat whatever I wanted but I wanted to eat foods that gave me that long lasting energy! After my first 6 weeks, I felt more confident in my body, energized and knew this was a lifestyle, not a short lived diet.

After a year of being a client in FASTer Way to Fat Loss®] I knew I needed to help other busy moms like myself feel confident in their own bodies. I knew I needed to show them that eating as little as possible, giving up carbs altogether and spending hours in the gym was NOT going to bring you happiness. I knew I needed to reach as many as I could and break them out of this terrible cycle.
So I combined my passion to teach and my new found food freedom and joined the team as a coach. It is so rewarding to see others find that confidence and shine both inside and out. I love being part of a community of women who all have the same goal- feeling good in your own skin (and eating that damn piece of chocolate cake- guilt free!)

Hi There!
For those of you new to my page or those who have been following me since the early days of - so glad to have you here!

I am a busy mom of 2 (plus one 🐶) with a passion for FOOD FREEDOM and a huge sweet 🦷.

I spent a great deal of my life limiting my food choices and obsessing over my appearance. It was an endless cycle of restriction and over indulging (mixed with many hours of hap hazard workouts!)

My journey to FOOD FREEDOM was just that… a journey!
I like to say it was two parts:

Part 1:
During covid, a good friend of mine said, “What if you just ate dessert every night? What would happen?” A 💡 went off! What if I experimented with different ingredients and created my favorite treats that I could enjoy daily?!
And so the fun began! I started experimenting, baking and enjoying desserts on the daily! Wow, what an amazing feeling to enjoy the foods you love without guilt! What began as a little hobby turned into a little side business where I shared my favorite upgraded treats with other local dessert lovers.

We all have our insecurities- be it your body or mind (hello higher level math!)

Instead of Deny… Modify!

This is my mindset around everyday treats. I always look for a way to upgrade recipes to keep the amazing taste but up the ingredient quality.

Today I made banana chocolate chip muffins for my kids. These are a staple in my house. Instead of totally changing things up, I purposely swapped and added ingredients I knew would keep the same flavor and texture.

* Instead of all refined sugar- I swapped half of the sugar for coconut sugar (coconut sugar is perfect for muffins as it adds a bit of a maple taste!)
* Instead of vegetable oil, I swapped in unsalted Irish butter (butter makes everything better, right?!)
* To up the protein, I added unflavored collagen powder
Just a few changes… but equally the same yummy taste!

Don’t get me wrong, there is something special about a cookie you can grab from a store and instantly enjoy. (Especially those Levain clouds of love!)

But when you have health goals and still want that something special… whip up a batch of these babies and you still fulfill your sweet tooth with the gooey chocolate center and crisp edges!

And best of all, these cookies fit into your healthy lifestyle!

Same Dress- 16 Years Apart

What you DON’T see is…

The girl on the left was:
- Eating less than 1200 calories a day
- Slave to the scale
- Doing 60 minutes of cardio daily
- Suffering from constant heartburn

The girl on right is:
- eating around 1800 calories daily
- Laughs at the scale (if she even steps on it!)
- Doing 3-4 days of strength training and 1-2 days of short cardio sessions
- Healing digestion through eating her favorite foods

Both photos document happiness. However, the photo on the right shows amazing growth. This growth has helped me be my best self and motivates me everyday to help others feel confident in their own bodies.
