Well it's been a while...I'd like to share that this past June, my Dad passed away. I was distraught and chose to give myself a break to mourn this incredible loss.

However, my Dad would have wanted me to continue doing what I love. So for him I am continuing with baking my custom cakes. I'm grateful that he had an opportunity to see my work and he was proud of what I did.

Yesterday I made a cake with fondant decorations and sugar flowers. I honestly had not worked with fondant in ages. I primarily work with whipped cream frosting and decorate with sugar sheet and printed images. So this was a challenge for me! But I have to say that, although I struggled a bit, I was so happy with the end result!

Cake request was for a Highland Cow for a 30th birthday celebration. It was the cutest theme! Thank you for the order and so happy that the birthday girl enjoyed it! Thank you for making us a part of your special day.
