POV: You think it’s just another cake… until it starts floating. ✨🎭

This was one of my favorite setups to date! Every transition, every detail, and a little engineering came together to create this illusion. The final reveal was worth every second.

In 2012, I made my very first soccer cake for my husband’s birthday. I was trying to impress him after 1 month of dating. ⚽️ Was it perfect or impressive? Not even close. I used cake mix and canned frosting; there were crooked lines and offset letters; the ball looked “flat” and it was caking in on the cake below.

But I kept showing up, kept practicing, and kept saying yes to opportunities that helped me improve. Eight years later, I began my business journey.

Every cake has taught me something, and every imperfect project was a step toward the work I create today.

If you’re waiting until you’re “good enough,” this is your reminder: just start. Your future self will thank you. 💚

If I could choose one theme to create over and over again, it would be this one. The soft blues, seashell details, pearl accents, and ocean-inspired desserts make my heart so happy. 🐚✨

This “See You Soon Baby” shower was one of those setups where every detail came together perfectly.
