One of my favorite parts of this job is getting to be a tiny little part of people’s biggest moments. 🤍

A few months ago, I had the honor of making this sweet couple’s wedding cake… and now I got to make their gender reveal cake and cupcakes for TWINS. 🥹🍼🍼

Getting trusted with these milestones means more to me than y’all know. From “I do” to “we’re having babies,” I’m just over here dabbing happy tears into my apron like the emotional support baker I am. 😂

And can we take a second for this dreamy gold-and-silver setup? Absolutely obsessed. ✨🌙⭐️

📣 ATTENTION SUGAR BISCUITS 📣

Munch’s Southern Sugar will be temporarily shutting down the buttercream factory because on July 30th I’ll be having my glorified nose job with an attitude adjustment. Aka brain surgery to remove Casper the cortisol ghost✨💅🏻

Which means my books will officially be CLOSED from July 26th through at least August 16th while I recover, rest, and try not to sneeze my soul out of my body. Depending on recovery, it may be longer.

So if you’ve been thinking:
“oooh I should order cookies…”
“we need a birthday cake…”
“let me message her later…”

THIS is your sign from the Lord and the buttercream gods to go ahead and book now before Larry the Lesion temporarily evicts me from the kitchen. 🫠

July spots are already limited, and once they’re gone, this gremlin baker is disappearing into recovery mode with snacks, saline spray, and probably a dramatic amount of pillows.

Instead, this birthday boy baked and decorated his own cake and said, “Like this.” 🍕

Sir. Say less.

I took his masterpiece, added cream cheese icing, fondant toppings, and a little blowtorch drama, because if we’re doing pizza cake, we’re doing PIZZA cake.

He brought the creativity.
I brought the fire.

And yes, that “cheese” is torched.

Once a year we put on our fancy apron and pretend we have some decorum.

Proud to donate to the North Carolina Down Syndrome Alliance Gala again, year three (maybe four… at this point it’s tradition). 🤎✨

We change up the dessert every year, because showing up for a beautiful cause deserves more than a copy-paste moment.

This year: seven (nine technically 😉) delicate layers of yellow cake stacked high with whipped chocolate ganache, finished with macarons and a little gold for good measure.

Sweet cake. Sweet cause. Same slightly feral baker, just in gala mode.
