This special cake was for an Icing Smiles child. I didn’t get a video but the “web” that runs to the round pieces in front actually catches on fire and burns away the white to reveal the child’s name.

I had the privilege of making a wedding cake for my beautiful, vivacious, wonderful friend Jill and her new husband Austin. Unfortunately I forgot to take pictures at home so the photos at the venue don’t really show the gorgeous colors. The cake in a box is for their 1 year anniversary.

CASA hosted their annual Casablanca event and asked me to provide a cake for the dessert dash auction. This is what I came up with, it combines the Casablanca theme of Old Hollywood/Art Deco with the CASA focus on children. I can’t stress enough how rewarding and important the work CASA volunteers do each day for these children. If you have any interest at all in helping children in the system please reach out to your local CASA organization and sign up to be a volunteer.

2023 Yule log for the Farrer family Xmas. Coconut dacquoise base, white chocolate mousse with a raspberry jelly center. When it was cut the raspberry jelly in the center looked like a Xmas ornament, but I forgot to take a picture!
