Took a Moroccan cooking class in Marrakech. It’s all about the spices - fresh ground from the local spice market. I’m in love with all the vegetable dishes. I left the chickens to live another day.

Celebrated Easter with High Tea at The Savoy in London. Was fabulous bu think my students put on the best high tea ever with their final High Tea Celebration.

BAK 130 students showed their creativity by serving high tea designed for special diets. Indian, Latin, French and Southern treats served High Tea style met gluten free and refined sugar free diet requirements. Everyone deserves to enjoy tea!

In baking school, learning to make a Sachertorte is one of the key skills that you learn. It hails from the Sacher Hotel in Vienna. So of course I had to sample the cake at its origin and it was delicious!

In the United States, it’s often said that those of us that are gluten free but not celiac should be able to eat gluten in Europe with no problems. I took it as a challenge to see how much I could eat without side effects - I’m on Day 5 and still feeling fine! I feel it’s important to do as much research on this topic as possible.

Apple Strudel Lessons in Salzburg - the school is built into the side of a cliff. Had so much fun stretching the dough - gluten does amazing things!
