🦃🧈It’s doesn’t get any butter than this! Turkey bread… yep that’s right we have made the most tasty Thanksgiving turkey this year. This turkey was carefully crafted out of our traditional sourdough boules and then shaped like a turkey with rosemary and butter baked right in. This is the Turkey you didn’t know you needed… but will gobble down instantly.

🎃🍁We also got extra festive and made these beautifully shaped pumpkin boules. These were so fun to make you could almost say they are cutie patootie pumpkin pie.

❤️🍞Happy Friday to all my bread lovers and fellow carb chasers! I hope everyone is having a blessed Fall! 🍂🦃

I just want to thank everyone for their continued support, prayers, and orders! I am so thankful for each and every one of you and you truly bake my day! I have my usual customers that have become like family to me! One amazing customer even moved to South Carolina and when they came back to Ohio this last week to visit they made sure they got some of my sourdough goodies🥹.

As most of you probably know I sing on our churches worship team on Wednesdays and Sundays and am very involved in christian music. My little sister is also a Christian recording artist, I sing harmony with her and also help manage her schedule and bookings. We’ve been traveling all over doing shows/worship events like Sonfest and getting to open for artists like Elevation Rhythm, The Afters, Bay Turner, Natalie Layne and more almost every single weekend this Summer into Fall. I also work for my Mamaw part time during the week. To say I’m blessed is an understatement! My cup is overflowing but that also means that your girl usually doesn’t remember to take pictures or videos of any of my sourdough creations 🙈. In February this year I started offering Dough dash so I usually am finishing packaging and then head out the door to make sure your goodies are as fresh as possible and I usually don’t think to get pictures until I’m on location.

⛪️We’re going to the chapel and we’re gonna get married 🎶

👰🏼‍♀️🤵🏻‍♂️Not really but I did get to make sourdough goodies for a for a wonderful customers wedding tomorrow! What a privilege to get to be apart of such a special day. Congratulations to the newlybreaded couple!

🇺🇸All other orders have been doughdashed, and picked up for the Labor Day weekend! Nothing like getting a extra long weekend and getting to enjoy some delicious sourdough. Thank you all for the continued support of my small businesses.

🚨NO PHONES WERE HARMED IN THE MAKING OF THIS VIDEO🚨

👎🏼😂Thought I would take a cute video showing how healthy, active and bubbly Ruth is and she almost ate my phone.

🤓All jokes aside there is nothing more satisfying than a good “falling” starter. This happens because the air bubbles created by the yeast and bacteria in the starter are released, causing it to “fall”.

🫶🏼Although I haven’t been posting as much here, Ruth has been working double time with personal orders, wedding orders, airbnb dough dashes, and corporate meeting munchies. I also work 4 days a week for a few hours and then am heavily involved with my churches worship team and I sing harmony for my sister who’s a Christian recording artist, so I haven’t had a lot of spare time to post bread drops like I have in the past but if you message me I can take pre-orders so I can plan around those. Thank you all for continuous love, support and orders! It bakes my heart happy!

✈️✈️A few of our mini artisan bread flights, presliced sandwich loaves, and classic artisian boules had an early departure this week and went on a tasty getaway to the Maldoughves with the soft & sweet company of our pre-sliced sandwich loaves and our tangy artisan boules. 🌴☀️

👩🏼‍✈️🤤When I started offering sourdough mini artisan flights 5 months ago I just knew they would be a great way to sample 4 different flavors of our naturally long fermented, gut healthy Artisan sourdough inclusion boules, and they’ve been a huge hit ever since. Just like all of our original sourdough boules these mini boules start with the same three ingredients as our original boules (organic unbleached flour, spring water, and sea salt) and have the same love and time (2-3 days of bulk fermentation, cold proofing, laminating, and stretch and folds) mixed in to create them. We don’t take any short cuts like adding any commercial yeast, ascorbic acid, preservatives or dough conditioners to speed up the process or enhance shelf life. Some sweet some savory but all delicious! Message me to reserve a ticket for our flight next week, limited seating available!

At Cypress & Sage, we are always trying to come up with new and inventive ways to utilize our sourdough.💧✨

We use our leftover starter (sourdough byproduct) to nourish the herbs, and veggies that go right into your loaves. 🌱💐 That little splash of sourdough water is full of healthy microbes, wild yeast, beneficial bacteria and natural goodness that feeds the soil—and in turn, helps grow the most fragrant, flavorful additions to our bread that do not have pesticides, chemicals and are all organic. This is a natural fertilizer and is a pro-biotic for the soil.
