Today is National POW/MIA Recognition Day. Today, and every day, we honor the commitments and the sacrifices made by our nation's prisoners of war and those who are still missing in action. Our thoughts are with them as well as their families.

Our VFW celebrated 75 years in April and our Auxiliary celebrated 75 years in May!
We will celebrate at our May meeting May 20th with cake and coffee afterwards.

The Belle Plaine VFW Auxiliary awarded the "Patriots Pen" winners tonight at their meeting. Students had to write an essay on "What Makes America Great?" The awards went to Sage Vinkemeier (1st), Dylan Meyer (2nd), and Vienne Laing (3rd). Congratulations!
