& story time while I’m here bc I know my life is a s**t show and y’all enjoy hearing about my shenanigans 😂

Soooo I’m going to just start off by going ahead and rating my marketing skills lately at a 3.5 out of 10 for the quick, taken in a hurry photos. I can do better! But I’ve got to say that my packaging skills — whewww, such a disaster that it doesn’t even qualify for the rating scale🥴 I’m not sure how I’ll ever get past forgetting to buy more bakery boxes, which resulted in me having to send a first-time customer to her daughter’s graduation party this morning with cookies in three different big, round clear trays, with another clear tray taped on top of each tray to act as a shield to the cookies. But I wasn’t done there though — nope, not me! At least clear tape was used for those. I then proceeded to stack all three of those on top of each other and then taped them all together with…

Yes, you read that right. I didn’t get a picture because at first bc I was definitely going to pretend it didn’t happen. Ya know, bury it deep in my brain. But when she picked them up, she was so happy with how the cookies came out & that I was able to take her order after someone else having to cancel on her just one week before the party, she could have cared less about the packaging. The cookies came out adorable and they made it to the Eastbank safe and sound & that’s really all that matters! I suddenly regretted not getting a photo just for s**ts and giggles. I know y’all would have 100% gotten a kick out of it!

Moral of the story? One day I’ll get my s**t together — just not today🫠😅

So I did a thing 😍 our local Plaquemines Parish Seafood Festival queens are signing out as we speak. They went out with a bang by hosting a sleepover with other local queens and they had their last sleep as our Seafood Festival royalty. I had the honor of doing cookies for their sleepover and I even surprised them with the bigger cookies with both the queen and the pearl on them together from professional pictures they had taken. I truly enjoyed doing these and I’ve enjoyed watching their journey over the last year! 💙

🚨TEACHER APPRECIATION PICK-UPS🚨

A little Sunday morning update - PLEASE READ IF YOU ORDERED APPLES OR PENCILS!

I believe only one person requested to pick-up today & the rest said they’re fine with any day this week. I have a busy, busy week ahead of me so I’m trying to knock them all out between this afternoon and tonight, that way they can dry overnight & be ready for pick up tomorrow evening!

When I get off of work tomorrow (Monday), I’ll be running my daughter to dance class for 4:30pm and coming right back home for the hour she’s there to package everything up + put it all out for pick up before heading to cheer practice🫠

PICK-UP DETAILS:
🍎I’m planning to have everything out in the cookie pick up house before 5:30pm tomorrow (Monday)
✏️Please do not show up here until I let you know it’s out and ready. Also, please do not message me asking how much longer - I won’t be able to stop and check my phone to respond as I’ll be moving quick to finish so I can get it all out there.
📕Once you receive a message from me that your order is out and ready, you are welcome to come as you need to grab your order from the cookie pickup house as I will not be there…just look for your name.

IMPORTANT: If you need to make other pick up arrangements for a different day this week, please feel free to shoot me a message or text @ 504-343-4047 so we can come up with a plan!

🚨COOKIE PHOTO BOOTH UPDATE🚨

I know many of you were excited for the cookie photo booth, and I was too, but I woke up and chickened out on bringing my Eddie out to the Seafood Fest. It’s a $3000 machine, closer to like $3500 with shipping, plus my laptop - I just can’t imagine something happening to it and with my horrible luck lately, I have to go with my gut. Not only that, but the love bugs are out in full force & I don’t think anyone wants love bugs sticking to the icing on their cookie 😭 I’m sorry for letting anyone down, BUT I have an alternative that will work so I can still offer the service to you guys…

I can still offer the photo booth, and the cookie can be printed - but printed at home in a clear of love bug, indoor environment - where I know it’s safe. I can offer pick ups next weekend on Sunday, May 3rd. Photos will be uploaded to the Seafood Festival frame and sent out digitally by text throughout the day as well - just a little freebie!

I know you’re not getting the in-person experience of seeing the magic of Eddie in action by doing it this way, but had I brought Eddie out there, there was really no guarantee I’d be able to do it on the spot anyway. I’m one person running my booth solo so I would’ve had to work around customers approaching and checking them out. But at least this way I can still make it possible for you guys!

I hope y’all understand. The tent situation really threw a wrench in my whole weekend. I’m just trying my best to make this possible since so many of you were so excited about your image being printed onto a cookie!

Day 2 @ Plaquemines Parish Seafood Festival

Ain’t nothing like borrowing your sister’s tent because yours snapped in half two weeks ago and then this happens. I can’t make this up y’all 🤯

But they say it doesn’t matter how many times you fall - it matters how many times you get back up. & after taking the afternoon for a little mental break, that I did! I couldn’t have done it without the support and help from my family & friends.

Exhausting is an understatement, but bring it on Day 3! With the way my luck has been running lately, I’m SO scared to bring my Eddie and laptop out there, but I guess here goes nothing🫠 The amount available will be very limited due to how my weekend played out, but we will try it!

PS the hype behind the butter squishees is mind blowing - they sold out soooo unbelievably fast! I probably shoulda just did a booth of butter squishees only and saved myself the time and effort that goes behind cookies🤣

Although mini cookies are smaller than your standard size cookies, they’re still a b-word to do at times. Handling them and moving them around throughout the whole baking and flooding process can be tricky. It’s easier to mess up and harder to fix a mess up due to their small size. However, minis will forever be sooo adorable to me!

If I’m being honest, this week snuck by me before I could bat an eye & I kinda forgot to go through the whole count down to the Seafood Fest that I started on Monday. 3 days left and 2 days left were spent making dough, rolling out cookies + baking, making icing, flooding, planning, making 6 different lists (so unnecessary😅), and gathering everything together I will need to set up my booth. I even put my big girl shoes on and tapped into the graphic designer world by creating and printing some of my own templates, labels, etc. for any packaging I will need - normally that is my sister’s job ( Brandi Lynn Rollo ) but I was too impatient to wait for her and my creative side came out to play. Now I only have to nag her about a few things. She doesn’t know it yet and she’s about to find out, but I’m dumping the cutting part on her. She’s quicker but mainly bc ain’t nobody got time for that 🤣

So with that being said y’all, we are officially ONE day away from a very busy, but eventful, fun and memorable weekend!

I’m so excited to share the cookie photo booth with you guys - and please note that I will have other options for Friday night, but the cookie photo booth will not be running Friday. If all goes well with the set up and the weather, it will be open until dark both Saturday and Sunday! So if you’re planning on getting your photo on a cookie, make sure you show up before dark either day!

The countdown for Plaquemines Parish Seafood Festival has officially begun and so has the cookie makin! Only FOUR more days until one of the biggest events in Plaquemines Parish is here & I hope to see you all there🦪🦀🦐🦞🎡

The plan is to bring my cookie bestie, Eddie, along with me & run an EDIBLE PHOTO BOOTH👀 ….yes, you read that correctly! Along with my help, my phone, and my laptop, Eddie will be able to make the magic happen by printing images taken at the festival directly onto a cookie! I know - how freaking cool, right?! The only catch is if I have any technical difficulties during set up, we get some rain showers, or unforeseen things happen that are out of my control, then I won’t be able to follow through with it. The good news is that I’ve brought him with me before to a vendor event and he worked out just fine. This will just be my first time attempting to bring him to this specific event and attempting an edible photo booth. Pray for me that it all works out because I think yall will absolutely love this! In the photos attached, you can find a mock up so you can have an idea of the photo booth photo will look like. You will be able to eat it as quick as it is printed on, or you can take it home to store in the freezer & eat it later or save it forever - it’s your choice!

This year, I decided to go big or go home🫣
…but not literally!

If that doesn’t work out, I will still have a variety of other options including:
• Crawfish cookie dippers
• Seafood festival logo cookies
• DYO oyster and crawfish sets
• Edible printed seafood inspired cookies
…and last but definitely not least, I’ll have a very limited amount of those butter squishees our kids have been going nuts over 🧈🤭
