if you want a real opinion on something, just ask a third grader! I was delighted to share mini challah rolls with my students this morning and they freakin loved it! Real quotes from my munchkins who had never even heard of Rosh Hashanah:

“Ms. Kalmans this bussin”
“Ms. Kalmans you made this?”
“They sell this at Dunkin’ Donuts?”
“Can you send my mama the recipe?”

See! Told ya! They loved it! We finished off with reading a few pages of “Once Upon an Apple Cake” and my heart is so full!

I’ve never been chill or normal about anything ever, and I’m certainly not gonna start with hamantaschen!!! Thanks for the most epic recipe and the toppings are just whatever I feel like throwing in so I hope you like them and if not I’ll ship the rest to my sister in ny and she’ll never complain about a hamantaschen package. 🤍 Shabbat Shalom 🤍 finding myself in need of quiet and reflection this Shabbat and that’s exactly what I’ll strive for!

The weeks are busy, fun, usually crazy, unpredictable, sunny, breezy, and overwhelmingly delightful in Maine for the summer. Last week I was finding myself in need of Shabbat and this week even more so… finally got around to write it in a post… that’s life. Good shabbos, love you all, and love sharing bread with neighbors and friends! (If only someone wanted to clean my cookie sheets for a free challah they always seem to be dirty idgi)
