Hi cookie friends… I feel like I owe you all a little heart-to-heart. 🤍
First things first — I’m not closing Carly’s Cookie Co. 🍪 So don’t panic!
But I am taking a pretty massive step back for the foreseeable future.
And honestly, this has been a really hard decision to make because my love for cookies hasn’t gone anywhere. I still LOVE creating them. I still get excited when someone comes to me with an idea and says, “Can you make this?” And I still have a million things I want to try.
But if I’m being completely honest with you… I’m tired.
At the end of the day, I’m a mom. I have a whole lot of things on my plate, and by the time everyone has been fed, cleaned up after, taken care of, and finally gets to bed… there just isn’t a whole lot of me left.
And I’ve realized that I need to listen to that.
I don’t want cookies to become something I have to do when they’ve always been something I genuinely love to do.
So I’m giving myself permission to slow way way down. 🤍
That means fewer orders, fewer commitments, and probably a lot more “I’m sorry, I just can’t fit that one in right now.” And that’s hard for me because I want to say YES to everything (sometimes to a fault). I want to make all the cute things. I want to help everyone celebrate everything.
But right now, I need to leave a little more room for my family, for myself, and honestly… for just some breathing room.
And I really, really hope you know how much I appreciate you.
To every person who has ordered from me — thank you.
To my repeat customers who have come back again and again and trusted me with birthday parties, baby showers, holidays, weddings, milestones, and all of the little moments in between — thank you.
To the people who recommended me to their friends and family — thank you.
And to the people who took a chance on me when I was first starting out… or who took a chance on me when I randomly decided to try something new — THANK YOU. 🥹
You let me experiment. You trusted me. You gave me opportunities to learn, grow, and create things I never would have dreamed of making when I started this.
Carly’s Cookie Co. has been such a fun, crazy, exhausting, rewarding little adventure, and I am so incredibly proud of how far it has come. But more than anything, I’m grateful for the people who have been here for it.
And I’m sure I’ll still pop up with some fun new idea every now and then because apparently I can’t help myself. 😂
I just need to do it at a pace that allows me to be present for the other really important parts of my life, too.
Thank you for giving me the space to do that. Thank you for understanding. And thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for supporting this little dream of mine.
I’ll be finishing out the remainder of my booked orders, so you’ll be seeing those here shortly.
I love you guys more than you know. 🤍🍪
Talk to you very very soon 🫶🏻
