✨ DAY FIVE: LIGHTING & FIXTURE DAY ✨

We’ve talked colors, finishes, furniture and all those little details that are going to give the new Cookie Jar its personality… but today, we’re turning on the lights. 💡✨

Your challenge for Day Four: Based on everything you’ve seen so far, what kind of lighting do you think I would choose? And don’t stop at the ceiling!

Think chandeliers, pendant lights, sconces, lamps, decorative lighting, hardware and fixtures — all the little finishing touches that can completely change the feeling of a room.

Would I choose something vintage? European-inspired? Feminine and sparkly? Brushed gold? Black? A little unexpected? 👀

Be as creative as you want! Find pictures, describe what you’re imagining, mix styles together — there are no wrong answers. I want to see what you think feels like us.

We are having SO much fun reading everyone’s suggestions each day. Some of you have absolutely surprised us, and some of you clearly know me a little too well. 😂❤️

Okay, y’all…today we’re talking about one of my very favorite subjects:

COOKING FOOD. ❤️👩‍🍳

I’ve always believed that food is a love language. And being from the South, let’s face it—we don’t always just tell you we love you.

We FEED you. 😂

We celebrate with food. We comfort with food. We show up at your door with food. We gather around tables with food. And some of our sweetest memories are attached to a meal (usually a casserole 🤣) somebody made for us with love.

And if you know, YOU KNOW…I’m naturally a hugger. 😂❤️

So that’s today’s challenge:

If you could choose ONE meal in each category that would leave you feeling like we just wrapped our arms around you with one GREAT BIG COOKIE JAR GROUP HUG…what would it be?

Okay, y’all… THIS ONE may be my favorite. ❤️

If you know me, you know I LOVE motivational quotes. The words that make you stop and think. The ones that make you laugh until you cry. The slightly inappropriate ones that are funny because they’re TRUE. 😂 Give me faith. Give me wisdom. Give me sarcasm. Give me something that makes you want to conquer the world before your first cup of coffee.

Tomorrow it begins.

Walls are changing. Things are coming down. New things are going up. And the Cookie Jar is officially about to BLOOM. 🌿

But before you see what we’ve been planning… I want to know something:

Those of you who have known me for a while probably have a pretty good idea of my style. You know what catches my eye, what inspires me, what I would NEVER choose, and probably what I’m going to obsess over until it’s just right. 🤣

So we’re turning remodel week into a little community challenge!

Each day this week, we’ll highlight a different category and invite you to post a photo or idea that you think belongs in the NEW Cookie Jar.
