Hi everyone! Since I have gotten a lot of new followers my Mom though it’d be good to explain again why I started Rollin with Affy and I agree!
Most know, I have a son Steel who has nonverbal Autism. His favorite thing to do is go for rides so we do. Lots of them!
We bought him a a golf cart several years ago and once Steel rode in my brothers side by side, the golf cart just no longer cut it.
My husband and I were on a mission to get Steel his own. We didn’t want to get him just any side by side, but one that he wouldn’t outgrow and one we could ride year round.
Upon our search we quickly realized they were more expensive than a golf cart. With Ben being the family default provider and me the default caregiver we didn’t know how we could afford to make this happen.
That’s where Rollin with Affy came into play. On a whim I decided to sell homemade pepperoni rolls and the out pouring of support was so incredibly that I decided to make this a legal business.
I put in the work and done everything to make this a safe, prosperous, enjoyable and LEGAL business. Even at the expense of turning customers away because I was not able to make them rolls they requested as I am only allowed to make my rolls. Which was incredibly hard to do.
I took every bit of money I made and by the end of July we put a nice down payment on a CFMoto from Northstar Polaris.
I will continue to make Pepperoni rolls and seasonal treats for years to come to pay off the side by side, but to see and hear my son giggle I will gratefully roll those rolls for as long as it takes.
All of this to say, NONE of those moments we’ve got to enjoy these last two months would not have been possible without the love and support of every single one of you. Thank You just doesn’t seem sufficient enough, but Thank You!
I take new orders for the upcoming weeks on Sunday’s, but if there’s a specific day or event you would like them just send me a message or call me. Sweet treats I need more than a day in advance, but pepperoni rolls is still fine the day before.
I am so Thankful to everyone who has supported us! Hissoms Service Center for always letting me set up on Saturdays, Shenandoah Jr.High Volleyball girls for selling my rolls at your home games, Barnesville Band Concession Stand for the home football games, The Biddy League on the Visitors side, Barnesville Jr High Volleyball team, Designed for Print for allowing me to set up all week outside your business, Bless your Heart Folk Art for taking care of me and allowing me to keep my stuff in your building instead of having to lug it back and forth all week and for also finding ways to keep Steel cool during the parade. Thank you JD for holding the umbrella and keeping the sun off of me n Steel. You are the greatest friend I could ever hope to have. And also a big Thank you to every event that has reached out asking me to set up at their events. It truly means the world to us because every single event and every pepperoni roll sold is one step closer to truly owning the side by side.
