Well, many of you knew something was going on when I started adding pictures to the page! I am so happy to announce that I am (on a much smaller scale) reopening.
If you know my story, you know I had some major health issues caused by a car accident a few years ago. I am happy to say that I have officially had my last (fingers crossed) surgery and am able to start getting back to normal life.
This last year was a whirlwind. We had the intentions of reopening in a new store location shortly after moving out of our Wildwood shop. However, everything we were finding fell through for one reason or another. As it turned out, this was a blessing in disguise as I had multiple surgeries and spent some time in the hospital this year.
So what can you expect moving forward?
I will NOT be reopening a storefront in 2025. That is a future goal, but I have missed baking and my customers too much to wait any longer! I will be operating as a cottage bakery out of our family home in Defiance in 2025.
I will be posting a weekly menu for each week of the month where people can PREORDER and pickup their items Thursday-Friday in Wildwood! The first menu (Jan 2025) will be posted 12/12/2024! (I am working on finding another location for pickup in the Saint Charles County area as well.)
I will be taking custom cake and cupcake orders, however the amount of custom orders I can produce weekly will be slightly more limited. I will still be providing cake tasting boxes for wedding cakes, as well as delivery for custom orders if needed.
CLASSES. This is the one I get the most questions about. I do intend on starting up classes again. I am in talks with a few spaces that I would be able to host a class a month at, so definitely stay tuned for updates on that! IF YOU WOULD LIKE A PRIVATE CLASS - please message me. I am more than happy to teach a private class at your location or home until I am able to find a more permanent space.
GLUTEN/DAIRY FREE. At the moment, I will not be taking orders for gluten and dairy free. I am working on getting a separate set of equipment and workstation specifically for gluten and dairy free items, but due to the severity of allergies I won't be taking orders until that is finished.
I want to thank everyone who came out to our Wildwood location to support me. I am extremely hopeful that another storefront location will be a possibility, but I am also very excited to take this next leap!
💚 Lots of Love
Ashley
