Welcome to GPas Ranch and Daughters Bakery.
Hi, my name is Alisa. I have 5 daughters and 3 grandchildren.
My father, Tom, passed away in 2022. He owned property and had a few chickens when he passed. We assumed the property and the chickens and have continued to raise chickens, ducks, and now 2 pigs.
My dad was all about being as self sufficient as possible and he loved to cook.
Cooking WAS his love language. If he cooked you a meal, baked you a cheesecake (his own secret recipe), or smoked you some meats…that meant he cared about you and respected you.
He made friends with employees at Albertsons by his house. At his bank. Or just about anywhere he visited frequently. He’d go shopping and bring food to the employees. Lol. That was just who he was.
My dad was also a Veteran. He served in the United States Army and was deployed to Vietnam. My dad wasn’t drafted. No, no, no. My dad left High School and enlisted. He was a brave and stubborn man, but he had a heart of gold!
After serving in Nam, he became a chef, and that is where I feel he found his calling and passion.
Anyways, after he passed, my kids and I called his property “GPa’s Ranch”. It’s our home, but it will always be “GPa’s Ranch”.
So when we started sharing our fresh chicken and duck eggs, I made labels saying GPa’s Ranch.
Then when I decided to start the cottage bakery business, I knew in my heart that I needed to incorporate my dad into the name of the business.
None of this would be possible if it weren’t for my dad (GPa), his passion for cooking, his motivational speeches, and his “ranch”.
