February was ⭐️golden⭐️
Even after excluding the two Google orders, this was my busiest month yet! Thank you all for supporting my super smol yet scrappy cottage bakery 👉🏼👈🏼 To honor 100 years of Black History Month:
✨ shared net proceeds with , a local nonprofit founded by Nyeka, a lifelong Austinite with a mission to provide food and other necessities to marginalized communities in Central Texas, inspired and informed by her own lived experience - follow her IG and consider signing up to volunteer or donating directly!
✨ attended an online workshop hosted by to gain a deeper understanding of ways to counter anti-blackness among Asian communities - they also had a great workshop on Islamophobia that opened my eyes to so many misconceptions I had - check out their IG linktree for more workshops and book club info!
✨ read The Sword and the Shield and The Water Dancer (audiobooks); started Parable of the Sower (actual book)
Also, in honor of the Lunar New Year, a portion of net proceeds was shared with - this local nonprofit offers multilingual, multicultural social services to Asian families and survivors of DV and SA, a cause close to my heart as a daughter of refugees and new mom attempting to break the cycle of generational trauma.
Ramadan coincided closely with LNY this year! Ramadan Mubarak to all who observe/celebrate 💕
Closing out this month with civic duties! Hubby Twist (in spite of a recent back injury), Auntie Twist 🖤, and I voted early yesterday! Election Day is next Tuesday, March 3rd. Please check your precinct on your voter card, and make sure you vote at your designated center 🌊 The twins thought we voted for their Grandpa G, because I had explained that we vote for people we like 😂
✌🏼out til April, butter buddies,
Your mother butter
