Good morning fam! As this is the last week we will be open this will also be the last week you can grab our custom corazon coffee blend! We collaborated with in North Austin to create this heavy body, chocolate/fruity note coffee that is a ode to Puerto Rico style coffee.

With the end coming closer for us here, we love reflecting on all the amazing memories that we had with y'all at the shop (and some not so amazing 😂.)

So we’ve been asked by a couple of y’all about the closure… What about our awesome employees? Is there a Gofundme page?

We care tremendously about our team. So we gave them several months' notice to help them out to find other opportunities and sort out finances. Also we added extra shifts for the team the last few weeks to provide them more income.

We dislike seeing other businesses provide short notice to their staff (sometimes on the day of closure) and using “Gofundme” pages as a substitute vs being transparent and telling the truth to their employees. Companies like Foxtrot and others make it hard for employees to plan financially for the future and sudden layoffs add immense burden to them. If companies truly care but dont have the finances to provide severance then notice is the best alternative

If you want to support our staff more come to the shop and tip a little extra (cash preferred). Or if you really want to ask them if they would like any help. They would love you for it!

There is no easy way to say this, and this is not a joke (I know you guys wish it was 😂). 

With our lease ending soon, the already high cost of rent/coffee/food going up, and the need for the owners to prioritize their health, we have decided not to renew our lease and officially close the business on April 12th 2025. We are extremely grateful for the huge love and support we have gotten, it's been a rollercoaster ride and we loved experiencing it with y’all ♥️. This has been an amazing business to own and we met so many wonderful customers but all good things have to come to an end.

The hard truth is, being a self funded family owned business (no investors/corporate backing) the Austin environment can be financially unforgiving for us small local peeps. Competition is tough (with most having big $ for PR marketing), rent in the area is high and going up, and food costs are rising faster than ever this year. Even though we are slightly profitable, the amount of work required to be break even is not sustainable let alone be profitable. 70-80 hour weeks is only fun for so long, and even though we love what we do and work our butts off to bring the best coffee cookie experience, trying to keep this going with limited resources and high costs is not what we can do long term. Its amazing to own/run this little business but trying to do more with less is draining and we have to make the unfortunate decision to close.

So this will be goodbye, please come see us the next few weeks and support our staff while we are still open. For all our viral coffee flight lovers this is your last chance to try it or have your photo op with our beautiful mural. To all our beloved regulars and customers that have given back to us, we are sorry and will miss y’all terribly. But let's make the next few weeks a happy time and celebrate all the good memories. Bring on Spring, crazy weather and March Madness! This month we are bringing back our mocktail coffee flight to celebrate the St. Patrick month with flavors including Pistachio Mocha, Margarita Lime, Irish Cream and Fireball Cinnamon.

To add on this we are starting spring with some fruity floral matcha drinks! The new drinks for the month are:

- Pistachio Lavender Matcha Latte 🪻
- Strawberry Rose Matcha Latte 🍓🌹

These matcha drinks pair nicely with our Pistachio Matcha cookie. Come check these new drinks out and we hope you have a great start to your spring! ☘️🌈🌦️🌻

Heads up y'all! This will be the last week for the Valentines Flight! If you haven't tried it yet this is your last chance so hurry to come try it.

We appreciate all the love we got for this flight, it's been a very busy February and we are glad to share the love with y'all. Also we appreciate the turnout on our Emo Valentines Day, it was a huge success with 14 break ups soothed by a 50% discounts and a huge number of emo kids. So come enjoy the last week of love and see y'all soon!

February is Black History Month, and for the month not only we want to honor the history of African Americans but recognize/bring to light the strong ties that Africa and coffee has.

People of color, especially black, are underrepresented in leadership or ownership/management of coffee businesses even though the origins and the farming of our favorite cup is done in Africa/Asia/Central and South America. There is a need to bring back representation of people with the history of coffee in their blood and we want to advocate for this!

Coffee is originally a African native plant that is grown mainly in developing countries, but the vast majority of the profits are made by western countries. Coffee is black, not just the drink but in history (both positive and negative) and this remains not properly acknowledged by us the coffee drinkers and the companies that profit from. Racism and discrimination in the coffee industry stems throughout the supply chain, from the farms to our neighborhood coffeeshops, and the history of slavery in the coffee industry is still progressing now hundreds of years after being exported out of Africa. So it is important for all of us to acknowledge the history of our favorite cup and support minority owned coffee business that have ethnic ties to coffee or support the countries that grows this amazing bean.

For this coming Valentines Day, we decided to something a little special and out of the ordinary. Presenting ... Cafe Corazon "Emo Valentines Day " ❤️🥀🤘🏽

We will be opening till 5pm and extending the number of Valentines (depending how much baking we can get done).

In addition, we will be celebrating with:
- Free "Sad Roses" with purchase (while supplies last, please ask for one if you want one)
- 10% off everything if you dress up emo
- 50% off drinks if you just had a break up (provide proof, creativity is welcoming 🙏🏽)

Happy Sunday y'all! Just a reminder for all the new followers that saw the Valentines flight on IG.

We have limited amount of flights and on the weekend we do tend to sell out before 12pm with wait times up to 45 minutes. Weekdays are much slower and we don't sell out till 1pm. Also please come an hour before we close for the flights as they take time to prepare and enjoy 😉.

And... please check our opening hours, you don't want to know how many people come after we close asking for a flight 😋
