There are some amazing changes coming to the hive! I am moving to Edgefield, South Carolina! I will continue to serve the CSRA like I have always done. I have been blessed to be offered a collaboration with my friends at https://www.facebook.com/christinesfarmtofork/ where I will be assisting with their dessert menu. I will also be setting up my cottage bakery out of an up and coming B and B, and working towards a store front. I promise to continue to serve my customers in Georgia. Do not worry, this move will NOT affect any orders already in the book. I will continue to make personal deliveries part of my service.

All fondant work and sculpting was done by me, while buttercream work was done by Jennifer Saxon, or Karen Davis (Cakes By Rosemary's Daughters) and the smoothest cakes ever were done by Caitlin Manuel. There is NO PLASTIC on any cakes, everything is edible except a few wires or skewers as seen.

I really enjoyed making this Coral Catshark cake for Miss Ava. I learned so much when researching it. Did you know some species of Catsharks are also called Dogsharks? 🐕🦈 ⁉️🐈🦈 🤔 Everything is edible. The base coral is poured sugar. I designed the topper so that it can be pulled off the top and saved, also making the cake easier to serve.

This was the cake that set me on a path to using my creativity to help sweeten the lives of others. Through encouragement from family, and the recommendation by my sister, I entered the Augusta Family magazine/ Augusta Mall cake decorating contest in 2007. To my suprise and delight, I won! Having just moved back to Augusta after serving in the military, weeks prior I had enquired about a part time job at one of Augusta's upscale bakeries and was scoffed at by the owner. He had also entered the same cake decorating contest, and ended up going out of business a few years later. Upon winning the contest I was offered a position at Jennifer's Cakes where I worked for 12 years. The lovely Jennifer Saxon retired, and silly me thought I wanted to go back to a career in the medical field. That is where the new chapter starts....😉💝
