Jim’n Nick’s BBQ

The chicken was great, and I didn’t need sauce even though I’m condiment obsessed. They also didn’t give me sauce so I was SOL anyway. Can’t say the same for the pork. It was lacking flavor and on the dry side.

Potato salad and cornbread muffins were on point.

Macaroni and cheese tasted like fast food MAC.

My daughter said her tenders were really good. Her baked beans, however, looked like bean and onion soup.

Overall 5/10. We tried it but will stick to our regulars for BBQ.

Another 5-star Asian restaurant tucked away in a corner (next to Cork & Flame). They have Thai, Chinese and Japanese options. I love the variety of Thai sauces.

Loving the remodel at Bee’s Knees!! It’s so cute and this breakfast biscuit (smoky dill aioli, Spanish cauliflower steak) and cold brew with caramel syrup was just what I needed to get my Sunday started.

When your favorite foods get married you wind up with these magically delicious Korean BBQ tacos. Not hating on a greasy taco, but these were lighter in that aspect and the added carrots, cilantro and WHITE SAUCE (y’all know you’d drink it!) added a different flavor that I am all about. The shrimp shumai was the cutest little fried dumplings, and though I prefer steamed, I did enjoy this bite-sized version.
If you are a fan of fusion restaurants, you definitely need to check out Mirin! They also have boba tea the kiddo recommends. 🍴♥️

Wasn’t sure how I’d feel. It looks kinda nasty, BUT we can’t go out to eat every night. This was a 96 cent dinner. I’d pay $10 y’all!!! So. Spicily. Good. I can’t wait to mix it with chicken and make a casserole. (Or pair it with those cheap red hotdogs that probably have intestines in them but still taste like childhood days at the pool.) I’ll even buy a box for the first five people to comment and share. 🤪 🔥🧀👌🏽

Y’all, those are chicken tenders...as big as my face! Daddy-o loved them. I’ve bragged on those grilled green beans at least half a million times, and of course the chicken salad is great. I had so much leftover from dinner that I had lunch the next day, and it was even better!! The southwest egg rolls are always a big hit as an appetizer. I finally tried the fried cheesecake (with caramel drizzle — you can also get chocolate, white chocolate or strawberry) and that’s the one thing we didn’t have to box to take home. 😉 Lakeview Restaurant

Are you a lover of cookie dough? A rebel who eats it anyway despite warnings? Weeeeell...tonight we discovered a place in Evans that serves up edible cookie dough. You can get a dozen or so flavorful scoops, mix it with ice cream, top with sprinkles or have it in a milkshake or waffle cone. You just need to have it! Tonight’s taste test included birthday bash, red velvet, cookie monster and chocolate chip. (Will try Freshman 15 next time!) Be sure to check out Alumni Cookie Dough. 😋🍪🍦💗
