Hi Everyone!
It's been a while since I reached out to you directly and while I am away for a few days of R & R (rest and rafting) I find that I am feeling super creative...and excited...about you guessed it...new ice cream flavors.
Some of you may know that I have a tiny farm in Historic College Park where among other things, we grow some of the most delicious figs you've ever tasted. This year, if all goes according to the signs I am seeing, we will have a bumper fig crop...the trees (and there are many) are full of beautifully perfect fruit.
In brainstorming with my pal and fellow chef, John Warner, we are going to create a fig and cheese ice cream. We already make honey and fig and Cabernet ice cream but we've decided to branch out (pun intended). We'll keep you posted for when this yumminess is in the shop.
MEANWHILE...a bigger thought occurred to me. How would YOU like to come in and make your ultimate gourmet flavor of ice cream with me? We'll provide the dairy and the sugar...you provide the inclusions...and let's see if we can make some new palate pleasing, tummy teasing flavors for the summer and fall.
