Hey all you photographers out there! I have two lenses that I am looking to sell. They are still new in the box, and were purchased as part of a kit as my old camera is breaking down and I had to buy a new one since I'm going back to work! If you or someone you know is looking for some nice full frame zoom lenses for their Nikon camera, please let me know. Also, if you could share this, that would be great. We need to raise as much money as possible right now since we are entering this new season in Kevin's cancer journey!

AF-S VR Zoom-Nikkor 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6G IF-ED selling new on Amazon for $589

AF-S Nikkor 24-85mm f/3.5-4.5G ED VR selling new on Amazon for $600

I also have a used 18-200 zoom lens I will sell as soon as I get home to Atlanta. I am 99% sure it is the Nikon 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 G ED-IF AF-S VR DX Zoom Nikkor Lens selling for $769 on Amazon. Mine is three or four years old, but in perfect condition.

I can ship to anywhere in the U.S. and can ship the first two lenses this week if you want 'em!

Oh I love this kid! But I just KNOW his mom read him the riot act about being "good" for me when he came over to do pictures. Once we busted out the skateboard and the guitar the real kid comes out!!

How much do I love love LOVE these kids? This is my niece and nephew Lauren and Will and I just made the whole family come over because we NEVER manage to schedule shoots for them! So glad they could make it to the party, the kids had a BLAST because I let them jump on the bed!

Ashley is a new friend that God put into my life at exactly the time He knew I would need her. Ashley and her husband have been sharpened by the fires of the valley of the shadow of death and been held by our Heavenly Father along the way. You can learn about their story by visiting their daugher's blog, www.skylarmariejones.com She passed away a little over a year ago at 21 months to SMA type 1. Ashley reached out to me through our church's mom's group and offered support and friendship during the rollercoaster that this past fall has been. Having a friend who understands some of the strange experiences of going through the serious illness of a loved one has been literally a godsend, and I do thank God daily for putting her in my life. I was so touched when she and her husband Kyle decided to do a shoot with me, as Ashley is also a professional photographer and again I was flattered that they asked me

Ack! The cuteness continues! My friends Robert Mayberry and Rachel Burson brought their little girl Lily over for some holiday photos. She's just three months younger than Evie and quite the spitfire. In the last tryptych you can see the looks she gave me when she decided she was ready to be done! Oh my word, I cannot get enough of this cuteness! I only wish I'd had more time to shoot this little girl. She is quite possibly the smiliest little thing I've ever come across! Maybe it's because her daddy, Michael Saba is a photographer himself. Kevin Hill reminded me that it's a huge compliment that Mike and his family decided to shoot with me, and he's right! We photographers have high standards! It was truly a joy to get to finally meet you all in person, and I look forward to time we can get the kiddos together for more of those awesome giggles!

The holiday portrait party was a HUGE success! First up was the Kim Strickland Strickland Family. Such love and joy in this family! What a wonderful blessing it was to spend time with them and my other dear friends and family who came out this weekend. I realize now that on this weekend of all weekends, God gave us a wonderful, creative project to focus on instead of sitting around all weekend worrying about Kevin's big scans on Monday. Thanks again to all who came out! This is my first time back shooting since "the C word" entered our life, and I really do love being back in the saddle. Hi friends, I will be teaching a workshop this January for anyone interested in learning how to use all those fancy buttons and dials on their camera. This will be an extremely intimate class, and will focus on YOUR interests and abilities. Class will teach both technical camera work and practice shooting whatever you are most interested in... can range from portraiture to product photography to better photos for your blog. I will teach you how to make great pictures with your camera, whether it's a point and shoot, and SLR, or even a cameraphone. Message me or email [email protected] to register. Hi to all of my photography fans and friends. I don't know if I've shared this here or not, but just in case I hadn't, I felt like I ought to let you know what's been going on in our family's personal life. Two months ago, my husband Kevin was diagnosed with stage 3 melanoma cancer. We have been through three surgeries so far and will begin radiation and then a chemo-type treatment in January. Treatment will last for at least a year. It's going to be a long road, but we are clinging to our Hope in Christ to see us through. I WILL be making myself available for photo-shoots on a limited basis, but will probably be only doing mini-session weekends, portrait parties, and will teach a few workshops in 2012. I will be planning a trip to Southern California, Northern California, and possibly Texas to do mini-sessions to fundraise for some of the many extra expenses not covered by insurance, such as parking, copays, deductibles, etc. I will keep everyone posted as I begin planning these events, and hope that this will be a way I can keep connected with my clients this year and also provide you with quality custom portraiture at an affordable price.
