I designed this with the help of AI. I wanted it to look like a quilt with the colors and patterns reminiscent of African fabrics to represent this family's ancestry.

It was a painstaking and time consuming exercise, but I think totally worth the effort.

4 year old grandson Zion wanted an electric guitar topper on his cake. Grandma (me) took it a few steps further and presented him with an electric guitar cake.

And I happened to learn that Zion is actually a premium brand of electric guitars. So his name is already imprinted in the place of honor - I just had to replicate that.

He was well pleased. We weren't allowed to cut his cake at the party. So he savored it at home - all the parts!

Wine barrel cake with port wine pours for our first wine social of 2025. My barrel dispensed port wine shots. Sweet port doesn't oxidize quickly so is a good wine for sitting in a keg as the cake structure and decorating is finalised around it.
