Congratulations to Sudha Patel! The answer to this week's Monday Trivia Cupcake Giveaway is Zabaglione!In France a similar dish is called Sabayon. Basically this is another variation on custard where egg yolks, sugar, a little salt and Marsala wine are beaten over a pan of boiling water until the eggs are thickened. Other sweet wines such as Sauterne can be used, as can Sherry and Madeira.

Similar to sorbet, this is a crunchier textured dish. As the liquid in granita freezes it forms noticeably large-size crystals, which are left unstirred. Granita is also often sharded with a fork to give an even crunchier texture when served.
