I had the opportunity to see some of my favorite people in the Athens wine/food industry tonight, at least six feet apart. Great friends made a test batch of an amazing frozen cocktail and offered to share with a few folks. I loved catching up with an unrivaled group of excellent people, then taking a sample of their wonderful modified slushy Negroni to another good friend, who all-too-generously sent me home with a bottle of Pastis. We made these with it: French Pearl's- if you have gin, mint, lime, and some gorgeous Pastis, I would encourage you to give it a shot.
I haven't felt this connected people that I love working with locally in some time. I miss good friends.
