Leukemia awareness with a touch of gold in honor of childhood cancer. 🧡🎗🧡.

Did you know that 3,500 children, in the US, are diagnosed with Leukemia every year? The amount of affected local families I know personally, is staggering. Pediatric cancer is not rare. 🎗

If you know me, you know that children (young and old) with cancer and their families, mean a lot to me because of my own child being diagnosed as an infant. This cake goes out to another amazing Leukemia Warrior and his family today as he takes his last chemo pill! A long and difficult road it has been, but a bright future waits ahead. You did it! 🎗🧡

What I learned today about making cakes: Never take shortcuts you aren’t sure about AND I suck free-hand piping on the side of a cake. 😬 Next time, fondant and molds 💯
