Limited amounts of sourdough fettuccine available tomorrow at La Veta Farmers Market. It's long fermented and I used all organic ingredients (as always) and farm fresh eggs from our spoiled Hansen hens. This is definitely a labor of love ❤️.

I creamed our honey from last years harvest and omg it's amazing. Creamed raw honey still retains all the healthy enzymes, prebiobics, antioxidants of regular honey but the texture is fluffier and delighfully spreadable. I was saving our honey for special occasions and realized recently we weren't enjoying this delicacy enough. A single bee produces only about 1/12th of a teaspoon of honey in its lifetime not to mention the time it takes for humans to harvest it. But sharing is caring. We will have limited amounts of raw creamed honey at our farmers market stand this year. Queen Bee Baking Company

This Thursday at the La Veta Farmers Market from 3-5 will be my third year baking for this lovely little community. This year, I'll have rustic loaves, baguettes, sandwich loaves and other sourdough goodies, plus shrubs, fig syrup, pinyon pine sryup, granolas, greens and eggs. Always sourdough. Always organic.

I made sourdough sandwich bread using the tangzhong method and it's absolutely delicious. Tangzhong, is an Asian baking technique that calls for pre-cooking a portion of the raw flour in a recipe with milk until it forms a paste. This paste is added to the dough, resulting in bread that’s tender and extremely fluffy. Then I made egg salad using Hansen Hens eggs, and herbs and flowers from the dome.

Our trip to Dominica, the nature island, was an amazing experience. The island was undeveloped, clean, and wild. Driving on the left side, on mini roads that were steep, and winding was crazy and an adventure. We hiked to beautiful waterfalls and explored different parts of the island. It was nice to get away.

I'm done with the Farmers Market for this year but I'm not done baking. I will continue to make sourdough by special order. (This week, I'm making a special fig walnut feta loaf). Just reach out and give me 3 days to make an order just for you. I will deliver to La Veta or Walsenburg.

Thanks to everyone for your support this season. But Fall and Spring are so beautiful here, I ❤️ love having more free time to spend on the Homestead, taking longer walks, spending more time in nature & soaking up the beauty of this special part of Colorado.

I'm back at the La Veta Farmers Market today from 3-5pm. I have large rustic loaves (Herbs de Provence, Everything & Sesame seeds), spelt small loaves, rye half loaves, baguettes, hamburger buns, wheat dinner rolls...everything is sourdough and always all organic. Plus we'll have figs from our geodome. Stop by and say hi.

What a day. We finished with a delicious sourdough peach camomile galette, bison burgers on sourdough brioche hamburger buns with heirloom tomatoes, Walla Walla onions, local bread and butter pickles from , dill pickle cashew spread from Local Roots Vintage Food Market and arugula. We started the day with peaches and cream sourdough waffles and had a blooming onion and homemade onion dip with sourdough crackers in between. Being home makes me happy!
