On Saturday, May 30th, my sister celebrated her one year anniversary, and it had me reflecting on what a special and emotional day their wedding was. Not only did I get to fly to California with her wedding cake and decorate it onsite, but I also had the honor of standing beside her as her Matron of Honor while she married her best friend.
It’s not often that I get to experience a wedding from both sides, as a vendor and as part of the wedding party, and it made me appreciate this industry and these moments even more. Watching someone you love so deeply marry their person while also creating something meaningful for their day was incredibly emotional and unforgettable.
I’m so happy for these two and the beautiful life they’re building together. Thank you to all of the amazing vendors who helped make their wedding day so special. It truly takes an incredible team to bring a wedding to life, and I’m so grateful I got to experience this one not only as a cake artist, but as a proud sister. 💗
