Deli meat is something that never lasts long around here. To save money, we purchase a roll at a time, slice it, vacuum seal it, and freeze. We are now good on bologna for about 5-6 months. It may cost a bit upfront but it saves us money in the long run. You don't need any fancy equipment to do this. My husband found the slicer on sale for $67 and the vacuum sealer and bags came from Walmart. Also look around the store you're in, you never know what you'll find!

After a much needed break, we are back! We may have been quiet on social media, but we've been very busy! Over the past few months we've been testing new recipes, celebrating Birthdays & our friends, hatching chicks, enjoying the warm weather days outside, prepping gardens for the growing season, enjoying the season of winter & rest, teaching & exploring with our local scout troops, and so much more. Here is a glimpse into our crazy fun filled life with three teenagers (four really), scout friends, friends who are family, our cooking adventures, home renovations, and some of our homeschooling adventures.
