Mary B's Sweets and Veggies, exclusively by order, and at Okoboji's Farmer's Market in the Park, features home raised veggies in season and delicious home-baked pies, scones, bars and cookies to delight one and all. Mary Brandt and her husband, Neal, had a COVID moment last spring and decided to do something they had talked about for a a long time, plant a nice big garden and have some fun testing

out sweet treats in the kitchen. They are at it again this year and are exclusively selling at the Farmer's Market in the Park by the shores of gorgeous Okoboji right by the Arnold's Park Amusement Park. Each Saturday from 8:30-12:30, from Memorial Day through September, you can come check out all the yummy delights Mary B's has to offer! In-season vegetables such as carrots, radishes, green beans, tomatoes, potatoes, onions, melons, eggplant and cucumbers are ready to take home and enjoy right away and fresh enough to keep around all week! Need a special treat for your lake guests? Impress them with flaky-crusted, homemade pies and coffee cake, large crumbly cookies, and amazing scones. Want a delicious breakfast on the go? Individual sweets such as lemon bars, blueberry scones and protein poppers go great with your morning coffee! Each Saturday in addition to all your favorites, Mary will be featuring specials, including items that will be available for a limited time or at a discounted price. Check out this page each week so you know what's on the menu! Mary bakes in her home kitchen so supplies are limited each week. It's best to message her on this page to place your order in advance, or stop at the market early on Saturday for the best selection of deliciousness! Cash, check, Venmo and credit/debit cards are accepted for payment.

It’s been a long time, scone-fans! I have had a busy couple of summers getting our BBQ food truck, Squealer’s on Wheels, up and rolling. I want to share more exciting news! We have purchased a coffee shop! Starting next week, you can stop in for amazing coffee, great bbq sandwiches, and Mary B's Sweets! We will have pie, cookies, scones and deluxe scotcharoos! Hello Friends! I want to thank you for looking me up at the Farmer's Market each week. A quick life update: my husband Neal and I invested in a BBQ Mobile Food Trailer in May, an opportunity that was unexpected but one we were excited to pursue. At that time we anticipated hosting a just a few events this summer and that I would still be able to attend the market weekly. Surprise! The response to Squealer's on Wheels has been amazing! Communities in Iowa, South Dakota and Minnesota have welcomed us and have been enjoying great smoked brisket, pork and ribs.

That also means I have had very little opportunity to bake for you and see you on Saturday mornings. I want to apologize to all who have supported me along the way. I welcome your special order of pies, cookies, protein poppers and scones if you would like some. Send me a message and we can work out a time for delivery. I hope to get to the market a couple more times before the season closes. This is dependent on the Squealer's on Wheels schedule, obviously.

Fourth of July weekend, post-COVID, promises to be busy and exciting down at the Market! We are preparing for a big day with all your favorites! Protein poppers (chocolate and almond), mini pies, cookies, extra-thick, deluxe scotcharoos, and of course all the scones are all in the menu. If there’s something you want, don’t take a chance, order ahead! Message me here by tomorrow evening and we will have it ready for you on Saturday! Then you can sleep in.

Hey folks! Despite the rain it was a decent day at the market. I do have boxes of six scones of mixed flavors. Normally they are $21 but will drop them to $15. Only four boxes left. #1 box-2 lemon, 2 triple chocolate, 2 blueberry. #2 box-2 choc chip, 2 lemon, 2 triple chocolate. #3 box-2 white cc/cranberry, 2 choc chip, 2 lemon. #4 box-2 blueberry, 2 lemon, 2 white cc/cranberry. Will be in Spirit Lake tomorrow. Can bring them then. Let me know if you would like some and indicate which box. Thanks!
