More often than not I forget why I bake…….

Having a baking business is great, I love it! However I spend more time thinking about events I have, things customers will want and like, what I need for supplies and bringing other people’s visions to life, worrying if they will like it or if they won’t.

I get so wrapped up in the actual business aspect of it all that sometimes it’s not fun! Sometimes I’m just going through the motions. That’s the reality of doing something you love as an actual living.

Then there are days like today, where I wake up and decide I want to make a gluten free apple pie for myself and my family. No pressure, no expectations, no time limit. Just me, my daughter and our creativity.

We decided that you don’t have to wait for Thanksgiving to have apple pie, matter of a fact, you can make a Halloween apple pie!

So that’s exactly what we did. We made a Halloween apple pie and even added some fun color to our pie!

Today was the perfect reminder of why I bake! Because there is no better feeling (to me) than spending time in the kitchen especially with my kids, making memories, laughing, being creative, creating things I can’t wait to eat and then hearing everyone say “this is the best dessert I’ve ever had!”

I bake because it makes me happy and it makes those around me happy, especially my family and that is what matters most!

Today was the perfect day for baking!! 😊

When your friend asks for a just because cake and the only requirements are chocolate, peanut butter and LOTS of frosting, you make sure you deliver!!

This adorable 2 layer, 6 inch chocolate cake is covered in creamy peanut butter frosting, topped with a chocolate ganache drip, and a melted peanut butter drizzle! 🤤

How adorable are these cupcakes?!

These vanilla cupcakes with a classic vanilla buttercream got the prettiest vintage makeover! The beautiful Tiffany-blue styled bows made out of chocolate were the perfect finishing touch!

I had the pleasure of making these beauties for the sweetest event hosted by Charm & Grit, a woman owned small business that’s helps women create stress free DIY makeovers, from painted furniture and thrifted decor to beautifully styled rooms!

She hosted a vintage mystery box night, and it was a HUGE hit! I absolute love anything mystery-related (if you know me, you know!) so you can bet I’ll be making it to her next mystery box night!

The NEW Blind Date with a Cookie flavor is officially SO BIG that it didn’t even fit in my normal cute little cookie packaging! 😂

So this date had to get upgraded to the BIG package.

Needless to say… I think I need to order some bigger cookie bags!
